Hi. A less labour-intensive way to disable audio is to open the channel configuration tab under the audio menu and deselect the relevant waveform.

Quick question. This automatically matches up the audio perfectly to the video? So if i was doing a music video for a band. If i took the clips from recording and combined them with the recorded song fcpx will match them up perfectly? Do they have to be the same length? Thanks!

@simplyjohnie 2 months later, but I come with a response. The answer is yes; it (the music) will sync directly with your video while following the steps given in this video. :D
