@sidewinder134 Same here! Generator was the FIRST punk rock album I ever heard <3, I made a shirt with the No Direction lyrics on it. And Bad Religion during their Stranger Than Fiction Tour ('94) was my first concert _ever_ :). Awesome band.
"...all of you probably have grandparents still alive...and get together for holidays..." Hmmm, way to speak down to the audience... I wasn't at Melkweg, but the last time I saw Bad Religion at Tavastia, Helsinki all 4 of my grandparents had already been dead for well over ten years. Possibly the worst speak-in I've heard heard from anyone I appreciate as an artist... And yeah I talk politics, current events or general, with my mother every time I see her. No Direction needed for either of us.
@notnowliberty I wouldn't take the story too literally or seriously. He's just telling this to illustrate that Bad Religion is sooooo old, that you never know whether or not they will be there next year ;) :). None of us at the Melkweg took this story as belittling or anything like that. Everyone left this show with a big smile on their faces. Great show by Bad Religion! Jay Bentley was enjoying himself terribly as well this evening, by the way. Nice to still see such enthousiasm by this band!
"Is all like them!" That shit gives me goosebumps everytime I hear this song.

@psican1 Didn't notice this. Cool that they have updated their original lyrics (indeed "Madonna's nasty clothes"). Thanks for pointing this out.

@ihearttheweakerthans In Punk Rock Song theey did the same, with 'one on 3 children below the poverty line' changed in 'one on 5 children'
