But,

can you also specialize in talenttrees like in WoW? If yes, which can you choose as spiritmaster or sorcerer?

And you said that the death penalty is exp loss, but what if you are 50 and die? do you actually lose exp again and hit 49 again?

There are no talent trees (yet). You can't de-level either, so there's no need to worry ;]
