I graduated in 3 years with a Degree in Biomedicine and I'm now a volunteer firefighter while attending Paramedic school. I know their are bad cops in the world but I'm not ignorant to say all of them are. Thats like saying all whites are rapist and all blacks steal.
Because for some odd reason I would need to lie about the Fact that I attend Texas A&M and recieved my degree in Biomedicine, with the intent on attending Blinn College to get my Master Firefighter certification through a Fire Science Degree and also attend Paramedic School. I got into a three car pile up in my city, and it took an hour and a half for any police to show up on the scene. 3 cars drove RIGHT past our accident and none of them stopped to see if anyone was alright, or needed assistance. Cops are only paid to give people tickets, which in turn gives the governments money. Swat ect are the real life savers.
I have NEVER paid a speeding ticket, but I was pulled over 30 times in 30 days 2 years ago. They're alright guys for the most part and I don't agree with this blanket classification of them all being dicks. They really are there to protect and serve and I've never been exploited, even when it was pretty obvious I should be jailed for some of the things I was doing. nice way to show your appreciation for all the things the police protect you from, its funny how you all complain about the things the police fuck up on but what about the things the police do right every day, do you hear about that? no you dont. Sure you get some bad cops, you get bad politicians, bad doctors bad everything you even get really ignorant and thick people who like to judge the police soley on the mistakes they've made without comparing all the good things they've done, sad world.

@Strid593 - We don't call them to "protect" us, but to report a crime, disturbance, etc. The citizenry are quite capable of protecting themselves, but our right to bear arms are continually being assaulted by a mentality that thinks it can "protect" us. Who do you think the government calls to protect THEM in a case of war? If you said "citizens", then there is still hope for you!

I got into a three car pile up in my city, and it took an hour and a half for any police to show up on the scene. 3 cars drove RIGHT past our accident and none of them stopped to see if anyone was alright, or needed assistance. Most cops are just people who had a rough childhood, and enjoy having power over all the citizens now that they are older. Cops are only paid to give people tickets, which in turn gives the governments money. Swat ect are the real life savers.

I have NEVER paid a speeding ticket, but I was pulled over 30 times in 30 days 2 years ago. They're alright guys for the most part and I don't agree with this blanket classification of them all being dicks. They really are there to protect and serve and I've never been exploited, even when it was pretty obvious I should be jailed for some of the things I was doing. Stop breaking the goddamned law so much and you won't see them behaving like,"dicks."

I have met a couple cool cops in my day. EVERY SINGLE OTHER ONE has been a dick. They think they are God's gift to mankind and have ego's much larger than their brains. They get behind that badge and gun and think they are better than everyone. Most barely passed High School. There will be good and bad like every profession, but law enforcement draws in people who want the power trip much more than those who want to help.
