Respect to Honda the original innovators. They have been building these Vtec engines for 20 years and all the other manufacturers have just caught up with their mivec n vvti.. Honda built 30Million Vtec engines and NEVER had one failure!! Build quality of the vtec is amazing!

hahaha... vtec is noticable... aka the whole process of "switch to a differnt lobe on the cam changing timming, toyota has it too its tvis,mitsubishi is mivec" is called the vtec cross over hints the fact you can hear the differene in the motor therefore there is a sound.. almost like a car on itb's vs single tb you can hear the difference...and for the record him89 toyota uses VTI not tvis... lol

You are the retard, lol. When the vtec switches to the bigger lobe the valves stay open for a longer period of time allowing more air to come in and more sound to come out of the combustion chamber, thus creating the famous vtec sound. You MORON!

not all R's have side markers, possible that its not n R though, you'd be able to the red valve cover from this angle and you cant, my 92 teg gsr conv. sound the same at 6500rpm
