I think the game was a bit overhyped, there were alot of players on the games release but now a lot of them have disappeared. We had 5 SKG servers because we thought the mod was going to be amazing, but the servers were insanely hard to populate and we got rid of a couple and now we only have a single server that populates sometimes.

I also wish that you could hear the amazing music ingame. Perhaps the mod will pick back up if they come out with a TDM update..

God I love HL2 not only because its an awesome game but also you get this great (and some times better games then the ones at the store) mods.

I hope that more games learn with valve and make theres games more mod friendly

Well you can go to launch options by going to the game list on your steam client, right clicking your neotokyo and clicking properties and then go to the launch options and type in: -dxlevel81 and -32bit.

The devs said this game basically won't play right in dx8. Camouflaged people are *totally* invisible, vision modes don't work, and explosions are screwed up, among other things.

Really want to try this, but it seems that a big part of the experience is the sound, which I can't get to work. hl2.exe just crashes if I launch with sound. Works fine with -nosound but otherwise no dice. My other source mods work just fine as well so it's isolated to this particular mod. Sad panda )=

I don't think so, I beleive they stated the camoflauge was a thermoptic camoflauge, that generates a bright light when it is activated and then masks 99% of light, and 100% of heat

Motion vision is generally just motion, and heat vision can see through smoke.

Keep in mind that you need a DirectX 9 capable video card to enjoy any of the optical vision stuff.

DirectX 8 will not grant you any of the optical vision fun.
