If it was Olivia, then the show would have been canceled sooner. The show still remained number one tied with Roseanne during Olivia's first season on the show.

Possibly, but...jumping the shark means it's the point the show goes downhill. Some shows can jump the shark, but still stay on for years. Happy Days, which is where the term originated, stayed on the air for five more seasons or something like that...so jumping the shark doesn't necessarily mean cancellation.
