Most "TRUE ARETHA FANS" who have actually followed Aretha throughout her career know that when she starts loosing weight her voice starts clearing up and the high notes everyone wants to hear "SLOWLY" start coming back. It's all of the Fat around her neck and lungs that clogs up her airflow. Aretha knows it to because she's even said it out loud herself. She said when she losses 50lbs or more is her best singing weight. Anything above that makes it harder on her to sing the way she wants to.

Somebody around Aretha needs to love her enough to tell her the truth. Aretha needs to dress appropriate for her age and her body type. We as her fans love her and thank GOD for her but that has nothing to do with the truth. Aretha sometimes makes her self look foolish by dressing like she is small or young. You can't tell me you didn't hear the wobble at the high end of her voice. I love and respect Aretha, but I know the difference between Ree and her prime and Ree now. In her best recordings, Ree's voice was never thin, strained, or out of tune. Sometimes she sounds that way now.
