  • sometimes i still dont believe this coaster exists, its so powerfull!

  • Great!

  • ... this is exactly like nitro at six flags great adventure. this is a total copy.

  • 1. Nitro has an L-shaped out-and back layout, whereas Diamondack has an hourglass-shaped layout.

    2. Nitro doesn't have a splashdown.

    3. Diamondback doesn't do a 180 degree bank downwards out of the station to get to the chain lift. Diamondback just goes straight out to the chain lift.

    4. Nitro has catwalks on both sides of the lift. Diamonback only has them on the right.

    5. Diamondback has much taller airtime hills.

    6. Nitro doesn't have a mid-ride brake run.

    7. You're wrong in 6 ways.

  • Damn. Busted buddy. In other terms, when you try to dog-out a roller coaster, make sure you know the facts.

  • i "break" it off in your mom

  • @franklongbottom1632 You're a retard...

  • hmmm another six flags idiot. Well first off check the layout and you'll see that you are wrong.

If you wanna talk about anyone copying anybody, it's Six Flags Great Adventure copying Cedar Point's Top Thrill Dragster into making Kingda Ka....so get your facts str8 bud ;)

  • yesturday was my first ride with my dad i sat in row 9 in the green train

  • The splashdown does nothing for the ride. Other than the visual aspect off the ride, the riders feel unaffected by that piece of pointless track.

  • You get a little spray in the back, but other than that it's just a really cool effect...it's in the Rivertown section of the park so some sort of water effect was needed.

  • Back row. Your arms can get soaked easily.

  • I read some where that it he;ps slow the roller coaster down, but i may be wrong

  • well yea it slows it down, think of the drag created. it doesnt do anything for the ride really, but that's the end of the ride anyway, so it doesn't really matter.

  • @sloopjohnb9 It just makes it look cool, I guess.

  • That's why its called a water " break " . lol .

  • i know right? it should let people get wet

  • If you sit in one of the back two cars, you will get some. Not much, though, but at least you get sort of wet.

  • its a great ride. the splashdown isn't designed to get you wet

  • i rode this six times yesterday. twice in the back and four times in the front.

  • i rode this ride 4 times on monday. one time i rode the front seat. it was amazing

  • like shekira and griffon

  • i like how people think they know so much about costers and crap like that... well shut up were not all like that who gives it helll if u get wet or not?? i personaly dont want to get wet and have to change over and over again i think its amazing ride and u all haters are just jelous of what it has to offer :) suck it

  • splashdown was a great idea

  • loooks slow

  • it goes much faster with people on it

  • how is that the fastest coaster there they say that on the articals

  • when they say that the mean the fastest, tallest meanest coaster at THEIR park. which is kinda silly, but its a big deal for them as a park, it is one of those coasters that brings tons and tons of attention to the park. they;ve never quite had a coaster like this

  • i rode this today, it was an amazing ride if you can go ride it tomorow...

  • The splashdown is rather simple. If you look closely as the train enters the element, say 0:25, you will notice the scoops positioned under the last car of the train. These scoops create the splashdown. I think it just looks wonderful for someone like Kings Island to put such an attraction in! Great job!

  • And they did the splashdown the right way this time. In 2005 when Paramount wanted to recreate the Italian Job splash after exiting the sewer. all they did was put jets on the side of the track. Now they don't even exist. Nice to see a real one.

  • What's the point of the water splash if no one's going to get wet - on or off the ride?

It slows the ride down, but isn't that what brakes are for?

Ok, the splash is good looking. But how much would it have cost them to put a guest pathway right before or after the splash so people off? SheiKra'a and Griffon's splash interact with the park enviorment as good as any big splash water ride, I feel like this is an oppertunity lost for KI.

    Awesome-looking ride though.

  • Well, the splash down does get you mildly wet, just like a mist. But I agree.

  • you weren't suppose to get wet It wasn't boring to me unlike th dark knight kingda ka and ttd but i do agree sob is way better how is viper it looks fun?

  • I rode this on saturday too, the suspense I got was amazing. Although, I disagree with you, I feel this deserves atleast a B. I like how you are held in by one bar, and the going up a big hill adds suspense.

  • I'm guessing the splash is for show. It looks awesome for people watching!

  • I wonder if you get wet when you ride in the back.

  • ive rode sheikra and i didnt get wet only sprinkled so dont expect to get wet on this!

  • You don't really. Just a light mist.

  • ive never seen a rollercoaster where you get splashed. this ride looks awesome.

  • check out sheikra or griffon then ^_^

  • Technically, you don't get splashed. It just mists at you. I rode it saturday.

  • you get a little wet in the back.

  • Very nice thanks for this!
