No, sorry but that doesn't work. The Xbox or PS3 needs something to interpret the MIDI signals first. Check the Rockband . com forums for more details.

no, ion drums are exclusive rockband drums, and rockband doesnt allow double bass for official play

Most cymbal and pads, but not all. And no kick pads. You need a Kickbox (link in video description) to use an e-drum kick pad.

For cymbals, go with Pintech single-zone from Hope Drums (I have a few other videos up of those cymbals). For pads, almost anything should work.

No that kick pad sucks, it's loud as hell. Go with a Yamaha KP65 or Roland KD-8.

As I mentioned earlier, it's a signal converter box that allows you to use an e-drum kick trigger pad with the Ion drums.

squeezing is at the end of a fill, you hit the red a tiny bit early, then whilst the fill is still going on, you hit another pad and your bass. it gets you about 600 points

I upload all of my videos in 720x480 resolution. High Quality on Youtube actually reduces them to 480x360.  So anything uploaded in 480x360 (or higher) will have the High Quality button.
