It grieves me when I think back on all the years of being malnourished & undernorished. How I wish I had known God's wisdom such as this so long ago. Without God's Word overflowing in our hearts, we can be sure Satan will take up residence to fill the vacancy. We must stay ever vigil since he might just want to pop in for a visit at a moment's notice & hide in the dark recesses.

Yes, we must truly guard our hearts. I for one was very guilty of becoming very slothful and negligent towards my spiritual growth. I remember the Holy Spirit kept pointing certain verses that I memorized of my being idle and slothful. But praise the Lord because of his mercy and grace corrected me too many times and steered me in the right direction. It hurts but it was worth it in the end. My relationship with the Lord have strengthened.
