  • Hi Sean Ray, what kind of bridge are you using on the RB-250? Sounds like you have the head tuned to a G# or a little lower. I'm asking because I like the way you have it set up and would like the to try that combination on RB-3. Thanks and I enjoy your videos, I have even ordered a couple from you site. Keep posting.

  • @flylgw1 The bridge was a Huber standard 5/8" and the head was pretty tight, somewhere between A - Bb. That banjo was a 1976, multi-ply rim with tube and plate flange. When tuned any lower than A it sounded a bit flabby. Overall it was a good banjo especially considering it came out the Gibson dark ages.

It's often misleading when listening to banjos through a mic. In person this RB-250 was a bit heavy in the midrange where my Frank Neat banjo is more hi-fi. Big bass and frosty highs.

  • love it!

  • cool train in the beginning, thanks for the video.

  • I LOVE IT! my favorite song on the banjo!

  • Very nice and original arrangement!

  • Play the banjo since some months, I very much like the

way you pick and play the 5 string.

Hope to learn pick the banjo the way you do, thanks for the inspiration !

  • very nice. Maybe for your next videos you can try zooming out a little and have a small video in the corner of what your right hand is doing. It would make it much easier to learn what you are doing.

  • VERY HELPFUL, THANKYOU !

  • I wish we could see your left hand to know which to pluck.

  • That an RB-250? Just guessin!

  • You are correct.

  • Finally lol
