  • You have to love how narrow it folds into cause it was pretty amazing that you can squeeze that bike into those narrow corridors in the train. You can't do that with many bikes that fold! You ride pretty fast too on a single gear not bad!

  • @Azreal911 yeah, that's great... I have to walk through a lot of corridors in trains every day - and I never have to carry the bike, 'cause it's rolling.

About the speed - I love riding up that bridge. I just have to pedal like an idiot to get the speed *lol* maybe I'm getting myself an iF Mode some day. Bigger wheels, two gears, stylish folding mechanism, same designer: Mark A. Sanders.

  • @Gasher74 wow the if mode is like 2000+! I saw that they have the two speed strida which might be a better answer at half the price of the if mode :). I will look into this neat contraption.

  • @Azreal911 Yeah, I know it's not as cheap as a Strida. I'm thinking of imporing it to Switzerland, so I'd get it cheaper of course. There is no distribution here yet.

One of the biggest drawbacks is the Strida geometry if compared to a "regular" bicycle geometry. You can not get out of the saddle / no standing up when it's going uphill, you can't do a rolling start, the wheels are much smaller.

Never the less - I love my Stridas and I ride them every day.

  • Fascinating ! - Fully integrated multi-modal travel !

Shows how useful 'roll when folded' is ... I wouldn't like to 'lug' a heavy folded bike along all those corridors.

  • @sk8erboi600 absolutely... good thing, it's so slim when completely folded.
