Both versions are pretty sick. But Shadows wouldn't really be able to fit this guitar work, even if he screamed, coming from someone who loves A7X and Shadows. But Nick Oliveri wouldn't have been able to fit the guitar work in the Nothing to Say version. Slash shoulda put both versions on the album...

So, the way it works was that, and this is a guess;
Slash sent the music to both M. Shadows and Nick Oliveri, asking them to contribute.
And then, during production, somehow, only Aussies got the good version of this song. That being this version.
