  • It would have been note perfect had Beverlee McKinsey been Iris, as she should have been.

  • Soaps were just so beautifully put together back then. God how I miss that time. There was a gentle sweetness to the scenes that simply is not felt in today's shows. Somehow, yesterday's shows spoke from the heart.....

  • Yes the actors loved Douglass Watson. And Vicky Wyndham was no exception. It was particularly difficult for her because she had to shoulder the responsibility the 25th anniversary of Another World with Doug dying the night before they were both to be on the Today show. And she told me that it was particularly hard for all of them because they had to pretend he was still alive and then go through the death all over again. It's different when it's the actor AND character that dies.

  • were the actors really in tears when they filmed Mac's death scenes?

  • Such beautiful and talented actors...I love the work they did! Only thing missing for me is Sandy Cory and Blaine. Mac's biological son should have been there especially since they managed to have Clarice and Larry. That was a treat, too!!

  • Thank you so much FebWriter. I finally had a chance to watch all the clips in this series. There are so many wonderful scenes in this series. This clip features one of the most memorable scenes I can ever recall between Victoria Wyndham's Rachel and Constance Ford's Ada. Ford is amazing in this scene. We forget that Rachel was once demonized on the show and Ada was the only one who saw her daughter for what she could become.

  • This was so beatuiful, this scene....the entire week. After all these years I still remember the song they played at the conclusion of this episode. So beautiful. And the words Ada said to Rachel about how Mac felt about her and why Rachel and Mac were "good enough" for each other...God, it can still move me to tears. This is just so beautiful. They truly don't make soaps like this anymore. None of them.

  • What wonderful memories! Thank you so much for sharing! I will never forget AW and it's wonderful characters.....

  • me too and can you believe that was 20 years ago....

  • How is it that Constance Ford never won an Emmy for her portrayal of Ada?

  • Yes, thank you very much for sharing them all! It was just as sad watching it again after all these years.

  • Thanks for posting the series. Its so sad to rewatch this - I remember when it aired.
