  • Thanks for the great review. I'm going to be getting the same bike and color, or perhaps a cbr 250r. I was wondering why people always add fender eliminator kits, and you raised a great point on how the reflectors on the back of the bike are great for visibility. If people can see you on the road, that's just better for safety! Safety is best for new riders for sure!

  • Great Video Brother!, you make an excellent point Cruising and curves are way more fun than going fast straight, the way i see it..anyone can go fast straight but can anyone take a corner going really fast?. Anyway nice bike! and ride safe!

  • Can anyone let me know how comfortable these bikes are for tall guys I'm 6'4 and 180lb. let me know

  • Thanks man this has been a huge help for me im right now in the market for a 250r and you have all the same reasons i want one and this has been confirmation for me. so thanks

  • Im mostly looking at one of these because i want good mpg for the summer only issue im 6'2 am i too tall for this or??

  • @RYDOGG2992 180lbs if that helps too

  • @RYDOGG2992 Im 6 foot 3 and 300 pounds. it carries me just fine, comfy ride still for my size, so if im taller and fatter than you im sure you wont have any problem on it lol and yes I know, someone my size shouldnt have a 250 ANYTHING haha but I got it for my birthday so ima ride it till the motor says fuck you fatass lol :D

  • Nice video mate, some really good points.

Every day i'm more and more thinking of getting my motorbike licence, i've come to the point i'm searching for which bike i would want! I've always loved cruisers and was thinking of getting like a honda rebel as my 1st (i've heard it's a great for beginners) but now i'm really warming up to the ninja, in which your video did some persuading!

I am a 19 yr old chick at 170cm, so would this size of bike be ok for me?

  • I GOT MINE BRAND NEW THIS LAST MONDAY I LOVE IT SAME COLOR AS YOURS ALSO

  • great review man... one of the best i've seen

  • I have the same bike, white 2011 Special Edition. You're absolutely right it's a very likeable bike. I had planned on just using it as a stepping stone to something bigger, but now I think when the time comes to step up to a 600/650, I'll be keeping the little 250 as well.

  • perfect bike for sports bike lovers who can afford higher cc bikes. i have a black ninja 2010 with yoshimura exhuast.. great bike and great sound.

  • Great video review!! Im looking at one of these bikes! Ive been used to riding 800 vtwin cruisers for the past 9 years and Im bored at this point and think a small sport bike would work out great and get me more mpgs too!

  • great video, thanks for all your effort! You covered sooooo many things other people didn't... It's obvious you actually have one ;) thanks again

  • wow you complained about the smallest shit

  • Yes,they did make the bike for short people. I'm 5'7" and my legs go right under the gas tank perfectly. Also because of my ht. I have to reach forward for the handle bars and that puts my head low and behind the windshield better so I am more aerodynamic than someone taller. My feet do just touch flat footed. This bike was made for ME.

  • Great video! I own this exact same bike and a lot of the stuff you covered is stuff that bugs me about the bike too, except on the clutch. I'm pretty sure you can tighten up that clutch to not wiggle and make the vibrate noise you mentioned. I've had mine since June and though mine does wiggle if I wiggle it, it doesn't vibrate where I can hear it. Also, I agree totally that it's more fun to be able to take corners like we can than riding fast in a straight line.

  • The 250 is a bit weird.. the gauge I mean.. when I'm doing 80mph on fwy cars are still passing me. Think the speedo is a bit off. You're not.doing 80 even if speedometer reads 80. Probably doing 65-70

  • 5:13 so do girls

  • you are hard to please

  • i actually think this bike is not good looking...im a bigger fan of my cbr600rr 2012

  • @krisweezy92 Does that CBR600RR go fast? I'm not really sure, I think they need to add some more R's so people REALLY know it's a fast bike

  • This video is very well done. The areas you covered in the review are very helpful to people who are considering buying a Ninja 250R. Thanks very much for making it.

  • I thought this was a very good video. I'm more into liter bikes like R1's and ZX10-R's etc. But the way you reviewed it made me want to watch it to the end. I for one would like to see more motorcycle reviews by yourself. Keep up the good work mate.

  • the bike is made for 5'2" person. we all forget that this bike was not made for "beginners" they were made for woman riders and for the Chinese who are about half our size. lmao.

  • Everything looks cheap because you got yourself a cheap bike dude. A nice one but a affordable one.

  • I have to take the time out ta write this cuz i really dont post on videos. I watched this cuz im lookin into this bike as a first time rider. This video was extremely detailed and answered a lot of questionsi had (almost all except what the gas mileage is). Good shit man and good video

  • any advice on proper "breaking in" on this bike?

Im picking mine up in spring brand new, and im hearing different ways of how to do it..

  • Should I get the a new one from the dealer or a used private?

  • the reason the windshield is so low is because its a supersport, it is made for shorter people and for being tucked right against the tank lol

  • great review man. tired of boring reviews not telling you anything important like you covered.

I just bought the black 2011 today, white wasen't ugly but stickers make it look kinda cheap.

  • respect your honestly dude ,thanks for the review

  • Clutch lever is typical of all bikes & it can be adjusted, This bike handles average, it turns in quickly cuz its small and 370lb, but it will get destroyed in turns by real sport bikes w/ better tires and suspension + more aggressive steering geometry & higher footpegs that dont drag, it has a better turning circle tho & is better for U-turns, That ZX-14R was ridden by a noob so don't be 2 impressed,

  • tighten your clutch !!

  • I'm still enjoying my 2010 ninja 250! Not bored, great milage, and easy on the eyes.

  • awesome review dude, definately sold me this bike ahaha

  • very good job on the review . my girlfriend wants me to get her a CBR 600 it will be her first bike so im trying to talk her in to getting the Ninja , i just don't feel safe putting her on a 600 of the bet

  • Damnn best review ive ever seeen

  • I was going to be going for the zx6r but you definitely helped me change my opinion back to a 250

  • you bought a motorcycle for under 5 grand dude...expect things on it to be "cheap". "they could have done better on that" yea,on the bigger bikes they did. lol

  • its a 250 of corse small people would buy it dumbass

  • I agree with you on the speed of the 250. People are so stupid when they say shit like "It's like riding a bicycle" People are fucking stupid. Nice to see that you agree with the speed. 0-60 in 6 seconds and who the fuck NEEDS to go more than 95 mph? Smh at you fools.

  • When your on the bike, you should be looking at the road not the dash.

  • But hey, good review. I think I'll get one. That or the honda, I'll have to see which one fits me better, as I am 6'3.

  • 0-60 in 7 seconds... "Only a corvette will beat you", Ya, that and my Jeep Grand Cherokee... LMFAO.

  • Cheap bike looks cheap. ;-D lol, I still want it.

  • Comment removed

  • in terms of speed and power... i'd say this bike wouldn't be too much of a choice for many people in countries like Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia... thats because 150cc two strokers would be far cheaper and far more powerful.. thats jus my opinion.. =)

    NINJA 150 / Kawasaki KRR 150 vs NINJA 250... i'd pick the 150 sibling

  • Only recently got my learner's license and need a bike to get in and around the city for work. Should I get this or the cbr250r?

  • @riotforce1

If you can afford the CBR250R, I'd say buy that, for the mere reason it is more technologically advanced. Both are very good bikes, but they both feel a bit different. The CBR250R feels a bit more like a bigger, faster scooter, but the Ninja 250R feels like a sport bike. The Ninja handles a bit better, but that damn carburetor man lol. If you could find a CBR250R with ABS for a good price, do it.

  • hey man, just wanna ask hows the riding position? Is it comfortable enough to commute about 40-50 minutes to and fro school/work each trip? and hows the mileage for your bike?

  • Best review on the web for 250 ninja & nice bike didn't knew they were in withe

  • I'm 16 years old, and I'm 6'6" believe it or not... is there ANY sport bike that would be suitable for my height ? and I'm 190lbs. if thats important at all lol

  • @MrGanjaboys

There are plenty. My advice is wait until you are at least 18 for a motorcycle though, and please go about it safely. You will not be able to start on a 250cc. My advice would be look at a Suzuki Katana 600. They're durable as hell, and big bikes. They're very heavy, and will get you used to any weight, but because you're a big guy, this is a good thing. Could also look at OLDER CBR 600s, they're decent for starters too.

  • Clutch play is normal and necessary for cable clutches. Check any service manual. Cheers

  • No way in hell you caught a ZX-14 no way!!!!!!......unless he let you.

  • Ok I am a female begginer rider and I am geting this bike next month. I have heard I should get a 600 but I am only 5'6 and btwn 110 and 115. I will upgrade later and I feel that 120, which is top speed is fast enough to begin with. Yet you are annoying with this review. You should have gotten a 1000 so ya ass could fly off of it. A 250 I believe is a girls bike or maybe a small beginers bike therefore you should take this shit off you tube. It is not about popularity when it comes to your life.

  • @21Binay Your right this is a girls bike ,I'm looking at this because I wanna purchase for my wife.

  • @21Binay you're a retard.

  • Needs a gear indicator? learn to count

  • im about 5'7 170 lbs, would i fit in this bike? it looks much bigger than the 07 model which i am also looking into getting.

  • This bike is ugly

  • Well your first problem is...

It's a 250 not a 600 your rating the bike based on the 600 specs.. All I can say is you got what you paid for! If it was 600 then you would have something to talk about!..

That's a girls bike bro.. And another thing if you don't know what your gear you're in without an indicator.. you just don't belong on a bike at all!..

  • Here that Kawa? Digital dash, fix those gaps, undsheil, put some good paint of those bars and fix the clutch lever and finally, put a bigger tank on it. We'll be appreciative of the longer range and then you've widened the height range of your prospected customers.

  • brah, you paid shit for that bike, what do you expect? i would understand if u paid 8000 plus, but come on. . . u paid like 4000 dor it. . .

  • Best review on youtube! You remind me of itskingsleybitch

  • Good review, but you do gripe a lot about the cosmetic issues on a $4500 bike, you really can't expect the little fit and finish things to compare to an $8000+ sport bike. I've got the exact same bike, and I definitely agree with the functional assessments. I pretty much ignore the cosmetic shortcomings because it's the bike equivalent of a Honda Civic, not a BMW M3 or a Nissan 370Z.

  • Nice review but your forgetting its a 250, a starter bike an it helps people who r short b able to own a sports bike, like myself im only 5'1 an its a perfect fit. My thighs rest where they shud, it sounds to me u should hav purchased a bigger ninja. I do i agree the paint seems cheap, but its a beginners bike that's suppose to be affordable. My main issue with the ninja is it still has a carburetor. Lastly the guy u raced just wasn't a good rider he cud have taken those curves if he knew how.

  • nice review man ! my one will get here next month

  • im wondering how tall should i be to be able to ride this ?

  • Is 41 to old to consider one of these bikes.......; /

Why am I hearing the Ninja 250 is a beginner bike? What's not a beginner bike?

  • @kevbo7s

Anything 600cc and higher according to most people in the US.

  • im 13 5'3" you think i could ride this bike because i want it

  • i mean hes bitching about the windshield not being high enough and cant handle highways lol thats 99.9% of sporbikes hahahhaha they all hit you in the chest??

  • Dont bother with a hyosung, the ninja is better. +1 for not changing muffler. Had a guy come up to me on my stock 650r and said its too damn quiet. I asked what kind of bike he rides, he shut the hell up pretty fast.

  • nice color, I also got a Ninja 250R special edition in green (u can see it on my channel) and I really love it too.

but here in germany the power is a problem. u got no speedlimits on the autobahn and then u see some bikes doing 170 mph or u get overtaken by car which are doing 120 mph and at that point you miss the power.

exept for that I really cant complain and Im so happy with it.

  • I'm 5'11 will this bike fit me nice and tight?

  • when you're sitting on any motorcycle you oughta be looking where you want the bike to go ;) not at the plastic

  • if the ninja 250 is too small for someone taller i would recommend a 1st generation ninja 650r(06-08). its a tad bit taller but still a straight 2 for "similar" throttle response to a 250, meaning unlike a supersport if you upset the throttle on accident you won't go flying

  • tuck in.

  • you should be able to adjust the sloppy handles

  • try a drit bike on a highway 8) no windshield, no tachos. lol

  • Thanks for taking the time to go through the little things that people don't notice straight away :) I'm new to bikes, have a 125 scooter at the moment and looking at this bike in a few months .... Thanks

  • Nice review mate. Ive got the 2011 Ninja aswell and I'm 5,6 and fit perfectly on it - the tank feels like it's moulded to me! Check out my vids if you want to see a nice cheap exhaust for the ninja - your bike looks cool now but a nice exhaust will really finish it off! :)

  • great review

  • totally agree with the gear comment, have this same bike, same year, same color, put on 6 thousand miles, and i still sometimes reach for another gear that isint there! good review :)

  • I'm 5'3 -3

  • Its a really good urban bike. 60mph+ your gona wanna tuck into your bike. im 6ft 4 and i fit pretty well on it.

  • Comment removed

  • great review man. thanks.

  • this guy hasn't ridden for long........wtf.... complaining about clutch-play.....it can be adjusted to ur personal liking man..common on

  • a gear indicator is not necessary at all according to me............once u're used to it u won't have a problem about the gears

  • Wow, that review was so bitchy, I couldn't get through it.

  • You have so many gripes about the bike I'm confused on why you purchased it!

  • @PrettyBrownGirl716 I thought it was a pretty positive review. I love the bike but it has issues like anything else.

  • @jtech87 I'm 5'3 so you think i can ride this bike you have and do you know when the 2012 ninja 250 will be out

  • Comment removed

  • @jtech87 you do realize that all of the cosmetc issues you have with the bike have been considered into the price of the bike as well as the fact that its almost always a starter bike and its going to be dropped, right?

  • I'm 14 and 5'4" 47kg you think I'll grow enough to ride?

  • @HenryNguyen123 Sure you will.

  • @HenryNguyen123 I'm around the same size and I've never had a problem with it.

  • Wow stupid iPod stickers* fail

  • I personally dislike the suckers. I'd rather have a nice glossy white pearl paintjob

  • excellent review

  • easily the best 250 review on youtube.. you covered so much thank you.

  • 1st the honda is way cheaper looking+build quality is low in India. There is for the bike a window that performs the way you want, but it looks like a HD(black/orange) bubble sheild and makes it ugly. good review otherwise, but we have to be gentle as the dollar is in low regard and other manufactures import less into the USA dueto it. PPS good job keeping the exaust!

  • This a great review. The best review i've watched on youtube. Excellent job! Btw, the big bike you were referring to at around 7:00 minutes was a ZX-14.

    Ride safe!

  • Very nice review man

  • What you have encountered is known as a squid :D thanks for the review really appreciate it. Might end up get the 2012 though.

  • @kronicsz12 im a 6,4 do i have any chance to fit in?

  • @cristobalv93 I don't think so. You need something that fits better. Try the cbr 250

  • @cristobalv93 I'm 6'2 and i have this bike. and it fits me fine. and i'm not exactly a "small" guy. When i first got it, i thought it might be too small, but it is not at all. The only probably i really have with this bike for my size, is my feet are too big, and when i corner quickly my shoe touches the ground sometimes.

  • @cristobalv93 I also think that the 250 will be to small for you. Try the 400 or 650 (same frame) and if it still isn't high enough, do like me and buy the 2011 ninja 1000 (bigger and higher)

Btw i'm 6'2'' and 210lbs...the 400 or 650 could have been ok but the 1000 was the perfect fit (for me)

    Good hunting !

  • You know, i agree with everything you said. But the bike msrp is the at the most, 4 thousand. thats less then most down payments on a car. Im buying a 250R only for my transition from dirt to street and i dont feel like getting killed learning on a 600+.

But at least you dont lay down only on the cons. Great review man, much appreciated.

  • this's the best bike review i ever heard, honestly

  • im 5/3" would this bike fit me???

  • @kronicsz12 Depends on your inseam. If you got long legs it will fit you perfect. Go to a dealer and sit on one.

  • @jtech87 Very nice bike man, I'm looking into getting one of these myself. I have yet to actually sit on one and get a feel for it, how tall are you? I'm about 5'11 or so & don't know how well I'll fit on it,

  • perhaps its better to not have the gear indicator so that you can focus on the road.

  • Thx for the video - I am buying a 2012 version soon (sadly, the new ones don't come in white :( ) - The things you mention as problems, such as the clutch, can easily be fixed - Either by tightening it or replacing it with a custom one. Also, yeah, the dash looks crap and is not digital, but if you invest a bit more, there's all sort of after market fixes for these kind of things... all in all, I think this is a great bike for the money and I can't wait to get mine :)

  • @locturian Yeah but I wanted to tell how it was from the dealer with no changes.

  • @jtech87 Yeah, I agree - And it really was a cool and honest review, I really liked it... Just saying, you might have been unlucky with the clutch, at least... I'm hoping you were anyway :)

  • You are awesome :)) seriously awesome!

  • Most bikes ive ridden dont have gear indicators. the point of motorcycles is to be low tech. u should be able to tell what gear ur in by the sound of the engine. i own a 650 and a 250, i prefer the 250. good review, pretty accurate.

  • @zzzzTesszzzz I can now but as I just learned how to shift a motorcycle at the time, it would have been very helpful to have a gear indicator. I've seen some online, I might buy one and install it anyway.

  • Excellent video man. Great info. And, yes, being able to lean the bike down and go faster in the twisties is wayyyyy more fun than going from 0mph to DEADmph in a straight-away. Pz

  • nice review.

    p.s. clip your nails... :D

  • Nice video !! You should really consider posting more videos of this bike

  • @Antifaith29 Gas Mileage.

  • the bike doesn't need a digital screen to show what gear you are in on the bike, if you have been riding for long enough and have enough experiecne in riding a bike then you should be able to tell that dropping the bike down a gear from 9/10k revs is just plain stupid especially if going around a corner + who cares about a crappy gap on the windscreen, its a good looking bike, extremely powerful for its size and altogther well worth the money.

  • @StreetFighterCalum I've already responded to another comment about the need for a shift light. Bottom line is THIS bike needs one, bigger bikes don't. The end.

You are right, the gap on the windscreen is crappy. Thats what you expect from a Chinese bike. Not Japanese.

  • That is one fucking sexy bike! I've got a 2009 Honda CBR125R at the min but the Ninja will be the next move very very soon :) Can't wait!

  • Not in the US. Even the 2012 models are carbed here =(

  • is the 2011 fuel injected because i know the other models aren't?

  • @shuttashades5 nope. :( still a nice bike tho. i plan to get one next Feb or March

  • You should've turned on the bike so we could hear it :)

  • Not gonna knock your bike, it's nice enough for a starter bike. Just curious as to why so many americans get the Ninja 250? Arent there other options over there?

  • @Antifaith29 Not really, the ninja 250 was really the only small displacement bike we had for the last 20 years. Everything else was too powerful for a beginner. Just recently we got the Honda CBR 250 and the Hyosung 250. Kymco just brought out a 150 sport bike as well so we FINALLY have something other than a ninja 250 to buy as a starter bike lol

  • hey dude..gr8 vid and i don't watch too many that r as long. have same bike =] and ur rite on w/most stuff. got no probs w/it @ 6' but i wish the speedometer was digital. Much ezier to see.. ride safe + peace \|||/

  • best review on youtube by far thanks man

  • I'm getting this bike this week just in black. It will be my first street bike. I bought a yamaha ttr-125 in the spring to get the hang of shifting and everything and I'm so excited! Great video! Oh and for those wondering I'm only 5'2 110lbs and I can sit on this bike and maneuver it without feeling like it's too big or heavy

  • Great review ="3

  • Not a real bike guy but she is sweet! Elco warren to me to check you out!

  • im 5'4" do u think i can I ride that bike or im to short? PLZ HELP ME OUT

  • @papermate19 no this is a bike for your size.....

  • @thedezanator88 thanks ^_^

  • @papermate19 I'm a 5'5'' and its fits perfectly!

  • I am 5'5'' and it fits perfectly!!!

  • great review im getting it for sure next year... needto save up money though lool

  • appreciate the review tech, and i was planning on getting the same style bike. black and white , i think it looks awesome! definitely my style.

one of the better reviews ive seen, keep it up!

  • Question how tall are you .. the 250 was was not made for short people but you gotta be 6 feet with short legs or 5'11 and less i mean the bike is not made for every body there are other company that have a different shape bike if you have so many issues with it in my opinion you should suck it up and enjoy your step up from a scooter or mo pad and when your on the high way above 60mph tuck in on the bike !!! be safe! Great Review btw

  • Comment removed

  • Awesome review man! I have been worried for a while that me being 6'1' and 185 pounds was going to be an issue with a bike like the 250 but to be honest, if really the only thing is that i am going to have my thigh above the arch or on the arch of the tank i don't think its a big deal. I mean dose it bother you?

  • @dustyice It did at first but I got used to it.

  • @jtech87 hey jtech87 i got a question. is this your first bike? if it is could you tell me how much you pay for insurance every month for this bike? thanks in advance.

  • @hikoseijuro24 I've had scooters before but this is my first 'big' bike. Liability insurance for me (28yr old) is $89 a year.

  • Is ugly

  • @andydx44 u suck

  • very good review. you should simply review the food in your kitchen, I'll bet you get lots of hits haha

  • Finally aGood Review :)

  • Where did u buy it, and how much did u pay?

  • 1. The clutch leaver should not be tight, all bikes need some play if it's too much you can adjust it however you want.

    2. Almost no motorcycles have a gear indicator. For the most part it's not needed unless you have a dedicated track bike.

Otherwise I like your review. Thanks.

  • @SuperSneakySteve The problem with the clutch lever is the fact that it rattles when I get up to speed. I can hear the rattle over the sound of the bike at 60mph.

Most bikes are perfectly fine staying in one gear. On this bike you are CONSTANTLY shifting to keep the engine revved up. I went riding with my uncle and he has a gixxr 750. He never went above 3rd gear the whole ride, I was shocked. So I can understand how a gear indicator is not needed for him. But it is needed for this ninja 250

  • Awesome review dude. To me, it was really great to hear about how it is to live with the bike and it's quality than it's track performance or something. Pro reviewers forget that we will own these bikes longer than a few days.

I'm starting to think I should've bought a 250 instead of a 600, I hate slowing on curves. I'll just save up and buy another bike :)

    Current bikes:

    2000 Ninja ZX-600E

    2008 Mini Ducati 49cc

  • I liked your video. It was thorough, descriptive, and professional. It was very helpful for a soon to be bike rider. Are you still enjoying the bike?

  • @boozsh Yeah I still like it a lot. It's not a great bike by any stretch but it is good and fun.

  • Those big bikes have to slow down to a crawl, then they must lean right over to make the turn. It's very noticeable.

Cornering with the 250R is effortless, it just does it and you can do a tight corner at 40kph or 50kph in some cases.

That's why big bike owners often miss their 250's as they're just so easy and so much fun to ride through the twisties.

  • @shades2 My uncle has a GSXR750 and it's funny that we were on a circular freeway on ramp and I passed him on the outside going round it not even trying. Afterwards he was all like "well I could have kept up if I wanted too", he lied lol.

  • @jtech87 I know what you mean. It freaks them out. Passing in corners unless you're racing, is generally regarded as a no-no. If anyone low-sides you're both going to go down. On the 250 it seems perfectly safe, but on the bigger bike, if you're not used to a 250, or forgot how they are to ride, it _seems_ mad.

250's are very forgiving, you can miss a shift, drop the clutch, acellerate through a corner at the wrong time, and do really stupid things, and not fall off. Not on a big bike...

  • my i4 chevy colorado runs 6.5 0-60, i dont want to downgrade to a 250 but i know i really should, instead of going 600
