Power is one thing, effect is something that varies A LOT with different operators!
The angle, the height, the strech of the arm, coupling the chain in the arm or on top or bottom of the bucket... It all affects the power transmitted. Once the truck is moving, the excavator might pull it just by running the tracks.
excavator and backhoes are the same thing basically. while technically a backhoe is mounted on the rear of a tracter and an excavator is... well, an excavator. The terms are still used interchangably...
not this machine. It depends on the size of the machine. A trackhoe, or mini excavator, uses a bucket of that is similar in size, or smaller than a backhoe.
Good job the link snapped before it gave the truck a spin.. would of been much easier with a winch..

it also depends on the machine. Deere, and Hitachi excavators have very little stick power when compared to a Caterpillar excavator
frosty012 3 years ago 2
maby but the cycle times on cat totaly suck compared to Deer.
pumpkinheadedsob 2 years ago
John Deer makes good farm equipment. But dozers, loaders, excavators and haul trucks they are not nearly as good as Cat

49000 lbs is not 50 ton
guntoter2 4 years ago 5
that would be 25ish tons. :p

not to sound like an asshole, but that's not a backhoe, it's an excavator. I know because I weld backhoe and excavator buckets for a living.
