If anyone you watched the whole show, you'd realize Monique's life was like something out Dante's Inferno. Monique was given drugs by her mother, who addicted her. Her was sexually molested by three men before she was nine, regularly raped by her mother's boyfriend btwn 9 and 12. From 15-16, she was regularly given drugs/alcohol and sexually abused by her uncle. Now she'll be in jail from 16 to 63 years of age. I'd rather be the girl (who at least died quickly) than suffer what Monqiue has.

as far as I know, Monique was 16 when she and her brother committed the crime and she must be about 22.
