Perhaps this is an unfair assessment, but it seems to me as if Vasiliev is mostly just imitating Taranda (who was truly a great Abderakhman). If I were a dancer, I would not want to have to follow a performance like Taranda's ... imitation would be a very great temptation indeed. Maybe as time goes on and he matures as an artist, he will recreate the role in his own way.

Wow, that it is! I have never thought that Raymonda could be so great! Marinsky's Raymonda with Lopatkina is such a boring stuff.

You are right! Vasiliev always recreate all his roles in his own way. He'll does with this role in the same path . Just he need a more time.
