True. It's not the most awesome talk ever. I just wanted to say however that I respect Google for letting its developers be the face of the company. Most companies would do their presentations with a bunch of hyped up marketing faces. I much prefer to see the developers on stage no matter how socially awkward they may be. At least you're hearing from someone who genuinely understands and cares about the application.
Hi5 and MySpace containers have already implemented many of the features in 0.8 specification: such as, lifestyle and presence. There was nothing exciting or particularly new about this API.
