  • It's great to hear this.

But I hate that fat drummer, I don't know why, I just hate him.

  • He's still got it. After all these years, Sir Paul still rocks.

  • How would Kiev feel about being back in the USSR?

  • @fullnelson9999

    It would be great)

    Чисто мое мнение.

  • Must be awkward playing this in the ex-USSR....

  • @sanfranPinkFloydfan Saw him play it last night in Moscow, it rocks more here than anywhere else, the crowd loves it! :)

  • @JCviggen1 oh...nevermind lol

  • @sanfranPinkFloydfan nah, it's just great Beatles music. People all over the world really get into it. It's a fun song

  • @sanfranPinkFloydfan The original title was "I'm backing the USSR" so I don't think anyone would think Paul was disrespecting the USSR when he wrote it.

  • @grievousangel75 yeah, i just meant that it's not the USSR anymore :)

  • @sanfranPinkFloydfan Ahh, gotcha. Btw, I saw Floyd in SanFran in 1994. :)

  • @grievousangel75 YOU SUCK :p

just kidding. but seriously, im hugely jealous. i saw roger waters last year...

  • Excelente video de Paul...... Paul is live.

  • Beatles means peace.

  • Paul i'm serious........ never never never never die

  • Um, if you DON'T love this....you're not alive

  • I hope the crowd appreciated the irony of the line "The Ukraine girls really knock me out they leave the west behind" Although they might not realise that this song is a satire of the Beach Boys California Girls.

  • Sad little solo - guitar I mean !

  • fucking legend

  • на Беларуском - эта фраза звучит точно так же.

  • This is so awesome...just not the same anymore, unfortunately...DAMN I wish I could live in the 60's, such an awesome time

  • te amo paul como? como la canta igual k con los beatles no le a cambiado la voz para nada

  • I wish Paul had sang "Back in KIOVA"......

  • Paul in russia? How cool is that?!!!~!

  • @dommosay1 You may have missed the title, which says that he was in Kiev, i.e not in Russia.

  • "And now a bit of history", said Paul

  • could someone translate?

  • А за нас уроки истории, сказал Пол

  • @broadcasterpro

А зараз трохи історії = а сейчас немного истории, на самом деле...

  • @TomArayaKyiv

    Точно!

  • LKOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL WHAT A GOD SONGL OOOOOOOOOOL AMAZING TOTAL PWNAGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE I CANT BELIVE THIS I AM CUMING

  • I am from Poland and i love Paul.!!!!!!

  • 2:23 is that tanya on RA2?

  • Great.. performance.!!!

  • dibs on the 2:22 Redhead

  • I have been playing for 30 years, and I can read music. But not enough to hurt my playing!

  • i wish they were all alive still and performing together

  • RED SPECIAL!!!!

  • This song is about returning to the USSR and loving it. How is it bad that he's playing in Russia?

  • @Genisin He's not in Russia...... (Kiev is the capital of UKRAINE)

  • @Genisin he in keiv ukrain

  • Does Paul speak Russian or Ukrainian? And the translation on the wall, is that Russian or Ukr?

  • @BelRiose2000 Paul speaks Ukrainian

  • @BelRiose2000

Ukrainian and Russian are basically the same language.

  • @MarxistHero Not really... they are similar but def not the same.

There are numerous differences like different letters, different verb endings, and even completely different words. Somewhat like Spanish and Portuguese (even though there might be better examples) I know many Russian speakers who cannot understand when someone talks to them in Ukrainian (and somewhat vise versa, even though many Ukrainians are bilingual)

P.S.some argue that Ukrainian is more similar to Polish than Russian..

  • @rarala24

I can understand most Ukrainians, it's a pretty basic Slavic language. All Slavic languages are very similar.

  • @MarxistHero I speak Ukrainian, infrequently and not very well and if someone was to speak Russian to me I would MAYBE understand a word or two. There are enough subtle differences that add up to them not being the same.

  • @BelRiose2000 Kiev is the capital of Ukrania ass

  • @ferreirabonja Kiev is a part of Jewish Khazaria Хазария

  • @BelRiose2000 Київ 'W українській столиці вашої дупи!

  • @BelRiose2000 Paul said (in Ukrainian): and now about history.

  • man paul has some fucking balls , thumbs up

  • In Soviet union, the music sings you!!!!!!

  • читает по украински лучше чем Азаров

  • At present, this is the best rock band.

  • Viet Nam war 1954 - 1975

  • That SG is so damn awesome, so is the whole band. They really rocked, its not Beatles but they do a great job with at least one Beatle leading them

  • rwal soviet union really out of all places

  • I LOVE IT!

I listen to this song once again, and I just can't keep my mouth shut

    Back in the USSR...

    Yeeeeah

  • Back in the USSR.. especially Ukraine

  • Ukrainian girls are pretty awesome. for real

  • 14 people have never been to USSR

  • Omg! PAULIEEE <3 i wish i could see him live in concert! still awesome when he's older! Beatles FOREVER!!!!!!!

  • Paul's a bassist.

  • @Skeletorical Well, the reason he played the bass is that no one else would. Paul wanted to play the guitar and did until Stu died in 1962. No one else would take over the bass, so Paul did. Correct me if I'm wrong.

  • I`m from Georgia:)))))))))))))))))))

  • that was a great concert!

  • the most famous bassist

  • @hehetje The best bassist*

  • @Qweasder87 / best songwriter

  • @Qweasder87 Paul Mccartney could never be the best bassist. Roger Waters, John Deacon, John Paul Jones, and John Entwistle all perform more complicated basslines in there music than Mccartney ever will. I dont hate Paul, but he's clearly not the best.

  • @mrlazy56 Check out Rain.

  • @mrlazy56 no one's the best

  • I swear Paul's guitar is not even plugged in.

  • @diggity0169 Paul McCartney the famous Beatles guitarist...

  • @diggity0169 Wow. How clueless are you?

  • @diggity0169 Welcome to the future buddy.

  • My family is from the USSR, this is one of my favourite Beatles songs because it rings true for my family! I love the Beatles, love ya Paul! Live long and strong! Peace and Love!

  • Western Rock & Roll conquered communism-Music is a wonderful weapon of freedom. Rock On! Paul

  • of all the best, I love this song most <3

  • LEGEND

  • The jet engine screams at the beginning and end were just one of a several strokes of genius in this song!

  • This is very interesting to see. I guess nobody in Kiev wants to go back to the USSR. Nobody in Ukraine think it would be "lucky" if they to go back to the USSR, I have no idea if Georgia is always on their mind.

These ppl in Kiev seem to be really enjoying this song. The USSR has gone. When the Beatles (I guess Paul) wrote this song in the late 1960's, nobody in the world could have imagined this sight. The time has changed, which is "lucky."

  • @blanket92001 Believe me now Ukraine is crying cause they have prob;ems With Russia ! Ad russiand dont hate ukranians !!! Cause we r brothers

  • @blanket92001 it's true we don't want to go go back to USSR!!

  • @SmileKristina14 Ehm, yes we do. With Lenin or Trotsky as leading head of state. Not with Stalins fucked up Ideology.

  • that the fella from the cadbury's ad??

  • @watcherwatcher2 shut the fuck up

  • LOL I LOVE PAUL IN HELLO, GOODBYE, WITH THE BLUE SUIT

  • Of all his live concerts, this crowd seems to be having the most fun of any. Amazing.

  • There are many great bands, Pink Floyd, The mighty Zepplin but the gods are the Beatles and Paul is the ultimate God to music.

  • there is no end to the mans pull anywhere in the world.

  • fucking AWESOME !!!! PAUL you r the BEST!!

  • 3 days!! only 3 days to see you Paul! i FUCKING LOVE YOU MAN

  • The best song of the best performer !!! Love u Paul !!

  • Paul and Ringo should tour just as a like memorial to John and George even if the Beatles were broken up when they died

  • @tall32guy im pretty sure kiev is in Ukraine...

  • @TH3W1TCHKING You're right. Thanks for correcting me and reminding me of something I already knew but forgot. LOL

  • @tall32guy Kiev is in Ukraine....

  • @Treldman OK point taken. I've already been corrected twice now. And yes I recalled that Kiev is in Ukraine only after I posted the comment. I'm not sure that it's big enough a deal to pick on semantics about it. If someone else gives the "correction", I'll take the comment down. :)

  • Just shows that politics sucks and rock rules!! Cold War?? Hahahahahahaha.

Oh, and Russia has gorgeous girls, take a look at 1:06... :)

  • @earcandy2010 Is Kiev in Russia? Go get yourself a globe, you ignorant twat. And mind you, Ukrainian chicks are ways much prettier than Russian.

  • If anyone would like me to break this down into a guitar video lesson, give me an email

  • Play this in poland.

  • @thetruefreak678 ..i guess if paul mccartney play this in poland it will be his last song ever :P

  • @xariklou and why is so?

  • Mc Cartney still has it!

  • the band is great but its nothing like the beatles

  • @Aerosmith3455 i agree

the beatles is the best band in the fucking universe

i like metallica, dimmu borgir, cannibal corpse

but non like the rolling stones, the doors and the beatles

  • WOOOO love this song!!!!!!

  • Хто виставив той концерт у YOU TUBO повага,з нас фляшка..

  • well ringo changed!

  • Like WOW!!!!

  • he STILL has it! DAMN!

  • It's kind of sad watching him without the rest of the Beatles.

And he probably shouldve spoken Russian since Ukraine is a russian speaking country(:

  • @Alexxanndrraa

    who told you about this?

    We Ukrainians speak Ukrainian:)

  • @olegunited10 im Ukrainian i know...

and i mean we understand it

but it's much easier to speak Russian.

  • @olegunited10: Question: What is the difference between Ukrainian and Russian. Is it like Dutch and German ??? Dutch is a lower Rhine-Frankish dialect which developed as an own language in the 16th century, lots of people from my region Cologne/Bonn can understand many Dutch or - even better - Flamish words because the dialect here is very related/similar to Dutch.

Thanks for answering in advance !

  • @saemikneu: Danke, hätte ich auch selber drauf kommen können.......

  • @MrSKINFLICK

In Russian "bum" is "zadnizza", and in Ukrainian its "doopa"... just kidding lol :P

Ukrainian has got a lot of different words from Russian. I can only speak Russian, and when there is a film or a program in Ukrainian on TV I don't understand a word... all I will tell you is that there is a difference :P

  • @zsupersaiyan:Someone here wrote i should look up the difference in Wikipedia...it didn´t give me more insight. As for slavic neighbours;there should be some similarity in language or not?i also know that the original Rus founders of later Russia were from Kiev,or doesn´t that matter language wise??

The similarities of German,English+Scandinavian languages(except Finnish of course)are so obvious that anyone-even if he´s not learnt one of these except his own-are very obvious when reading them!

  • @MrSKINFLICK

Well there is a similarity, some Russian words are used in Ukrainian (or the other way around, lol)
