I'm a wrestler and I've practiced MMA and Muay thai, and even I know better than to get in a ring with a Muay Thai Fighter from Thailand. Is their national Martial Art for a reason, they're the gods of knees and elbows. I don't care how much BJJ or grappling you know, if you stand up for 5 seconds against a real Muay Thai fighter who's been training with banana trees since u were in f diapers, you probably won't survive long enough to figure out a good way to get close and take them down.
lol. Damn. Why argue about styles when you can just learn both and get the benefits of both styles? Durr! I practice over 5 different martial arts for that reason! It ain't easy, but you learn so much and you gain all this newfound respect and drive to learn more.
all in all im trained to survive and take muay thai not to the ring but the streets where there are no rules. the martial arts i listed i do are meant to end a fight quickly as possible with close quarter combat. the street fights are for fun and are usualy agreed upon but of corse in some cases its diffrent. "I bet
there are enough TKD/MMA/Karate guys out
there that can easily kick your ass." ya i bet some where but dosnt mean the styles any good and iv yet to be impressed by tkd or karate.
karate sucks. iv fought karate people. tkd sucks they are too flashy and shit dont work. iv fought muay thai(i do muay thai/muay boran/mix of bando). if you dont know bando you dont know real muay thai. iv fought street fights. simply it works and its effective. others are flashy and inaficient. mma is usualy slopy inbreed basterdized versions of the arts. they try to cram it instead of realy learning it. fights can directed and thought out depending on how good you are and recognition.
@DeKonjoo im shure some where out there is some one who will beat me in a fight. even a street punk whose never fought before could get a lucky good hit and end a fight but that dosnt mean its effective. tkd and karate are too flashy and on the streets with no rules it dosnt work. iv already fought people in karate and tkd im not impressed. mma guys tend to give me a harder time. i dislike mma becouse they water down martial arts and will soon create mc dojos.
Why on earth would you be proud of being in street fights? That shows a total lack of discipline. I mean I do Muay Thai myself and I love it, dont get me wrong, but just about every other martial arts has its strengths and weaknesses. Take Shorinji Kempo for example, its one of the most 'flashy' forms and its unbelievably effective.
@Evil3atman i like to see if the martial art is effective in real combat situations proving its efficiencey. its not a lack of discipline at all to test yourself and your abilitys. its much more risky, painful and exuasting but its real. its not like MMA with rules and safty gear. there will be possible others so grabing is a bad idea. i take pride in my abilitys. the karate kid lession bull is usless your beleafs mean little to gangs. your either ready or not which one would you choose?
as some one whose been in real fights and has done knees as well as taken and avoided its very easy and possible to stop it just a few days ago i almost took one to the face but i knew what i was doing and so did he unfortanantly. there are many cleanching and grabing techniques in muay thai and muay boran. there is no ground fighting due to real life situations such as multiple people and from war with weopons and modern ring. the grounds the last place you want to be.
Fucking JuJitsu faggots always talking shit. Yes, BJJ is great, and its very effective against standup fighting styles because people dont know how to fight on the ground. But you HAVE to admit, Muay Thai is a HELL of a lot more fucking brutal than your pussy rolling shit. You cant compare the two when it comes to brutality. Modern muay thai has no ground game because its a ringsport, obviously. But dont forget that Muay Boran and Mae Mai Muay Thai all have grappling and ground techniques.
True, Muay Thai is Brutal and vicious, but what does it matter when someones got a hold of your legs so you can't kick? or grabs one of your arms, so you can't punch, or kick? your just a sitting duck in a grapplers world, once he gets a hold of you.
Thats why you take good things from EVERYTHING! it's called MMA , retard! There is no style vs style anymore. Fighters are better off well rounded nowadays! You obviously just know one style and can't comprehend what MMA is.
@Vigid actually you can compare! because as soon as i take you down i will move on to break your ankles to your forearms all in a matter of 10-20 seconds max.
@Vigid actually you can compare! because as soon as i take you down i will move on to break your ankles to your forearms all in a matter of 10-20 seconds max.

The Flying Knee is not one of those Rambo Moves where you just come out and Do it...Its a move you use when the other buy is dazed or tired...A very important part of Muay Thai.
BTW Muay Thai is not one of those street fighting, Brawl techiqes...think before you use it.
I would love to see you just "Put the fucker in a clinch". It's nowhere's near as easy as it sounds, and you think he's just gonna let you knee him in the face IF you even get the clinch? Do you know how hard it is to pull someones head down to a level where you can effectively knee them in the head?
Stop playing so much Undisputed kid, that's not how real fighting works.
That is true, but I'm saying that Jschwan up there probably doesn't know how to set up getting the clinch properly, and I'd love to see him get hit in the face 3000 times before actually getting a solid plum.
@thecrazyoftheinsane on a one on one fight ya its very possible. im guessing your thinking of the two hand clench thoe. if the guy knows to stop the hips youd be in trouble. its also reversable. it works in the ring but if you have more then one guy fighting you or realy knows what hes doing it not the best idea. especialy if hes a grapler. i like to avoid grabing for those reasons. one handed clench is quite effective thoe in a multiple fight(most dont know this one) .
@thecrazyoftheinsane well it was more towerds the mma traind guys. they dont fully learn clenching and just know the two hand clench. i dont compeat in the ring. iv had a couple close quarter combat fights in a small cage. the weight and all is thrown out and you have to take one some realy built guys alot bigger. been training for 4 years. im gunna try compatition this year i beleave. stoped training for a few months so its gunna take a bit. all in all the clench isnt good in a multiple fight.
@muaythaijunky wtf? You say you live in America, but you write like a goof. Are you a first generation immigrant? If not, you need to pay attn in school!
@kenfo0 i did very well in school actually. it seems you just cant understand. iv had no failure yet to communicate with others yet. i think you just angry at what i have to say. i get that alot. or you clearly dont do martial arts. or maybe you do and came from a Mc dojos. my writting isnt my strong point like science is but if the point gets thrue... it is the point. also keep in mind in other states, we have our ways of speaking. no im not an immigrant. what was the point of your comment?
@muaythaijunky no, it was definitely the fruit cake writing. don't project your silly nonsense onto me. You don't know your ass from a hole in the ground, and you would quickly find out about "mc dojos" when you woke up an hour later looking like something the cat found in the road, kiddie. Sorry, jackass, but "compeat", "realy", "gunna", "clench" (when you mean clinch), "traind", etc are not acceptable spelling anywhere in the US. The fact you were socially promoted in school is pathetic.
@kenfo0 my point still got threw. if my spelling is all you can target your in sad shape of a debate. your either a troll or from a mc dojo or same thing. as i said my spelling is poor. are we over that? it doesn't mean im not capable of understanding or using reason or thought any less. iv fought your mc dojo fighters already and im not impressed. im in California where it is very populated with martial arts. if your here we can test this. until then this is pointless.
@muaythaijunky "threw, your (you're)". "your (sic) either a troll or from a mc dojo or same thing"<<<doesn't even qualify as a sentence. Anyone, other than you, of COURSE, is from a mc dojo....fascinating delusion there kiddie. HTF did you graduate from high school? Who's pensions need to be revoked, for doing such a horrible, horrible job? You think you did well in school, you think you are a bad ass kickfu art-teest. I guess it makes sense to me now.

@kenfo0 further more many martial artists in 3rd world country's don't have the same education(if any) and still know martial arts. your argument is invalid, you fail to make a point. mc dojos can be found out due to what they teach and how they teach. the fact you may do martial arts and don't know how to tell a mc dojo from martial arts training shows your not to keen and experienced in the martial arts study's. as i said if your in California we could test this, its pointless other wise.
@mushtang LOL....you are a spamming jackass. #1 You live in a 1st WORLD country, not a 3rd world country; there is no excuse for your rambling nightmares. #2 Given you live here, who says YOU aren't the "mcdojo" queen? @kenfo0 if you cant say what your style is and technique and strategy used in combat you don't know much and can only insult every one as a cover up. tell me how you efficiently defeat opponents, multiple opponents, methods and points of the body you target and what to do in CQB and be efficient at it. tell us all what you know and how and why it works. until then i wont take you seriously because of what seems like just word attacks is just your lack of martial arts knowledge.
You silly cunt. That is a ring tested tried and true move you are dumb mass of nothingness.
It is usually not an opening move but it is very fast and sudden and it works. I think you were thinking the move doesn't work if it's done by someone in your shape with your skill and in that case, you are correct.

muay thai flying knee was invented centuries ago... the shining wizard was created by a wwe wrestler....

You silly cunt. That is a ring tested tried and true move you are dumb mass of nothingness.
It is usually not an opening move but it is very fast and sudden and it works. I think you were thinking the move doesn't work if it's done by someone in your shape with your skill and in that case, you are correct.

Idiot its not like you're gonna ask that person "Hey, can i knee you in the face?"
Fucking retard you use it when someone is either dazed or tired. I've took down many of my sparring partners with this technique.
