Of Course the a hole tepco people aren't going to tell the workers or the people of Japan the truth- that would cost them money in lawsuits and all they care about is money not human lives. Tepco owner should be working alongside the workers if it is as safe as they claim.
"I prefer the words of Alexey Yablokov, member of the Russian academy of sciences, and adviser to President Gorbachev at the time of Chernobyl: "When you hear 'no immediate danger' [from nuclear radiation] then you should run away as far and as fast as you can."
In Fukushima "Clearly we are witnessing one of the greatest disasters in modern time" -- AREVA Executive VP at an "invitation only"-Meeting at Stanford University. Experts calculate at least 200.000 new cancer deaths up to now, and the radiation just keeps coming.
So, if someone tells you it's all safe and sound, punch him in his f*cking face real hard and tell 'em it's safe and good for him!
I know some of the workers for TEPCO and this is not true. Not that people on the internet care about truth. Some of the Chernobyl workers were sent immediately into the area with dangerous levels of radiation and died immediately. There have been zero deaths from Fukushima.
So they were no kamikaze. They were used as bio-robots (like at Chernobyl) without proper warning. Japan govt claimed they were all willing to sacrifice their life for the nation. Actually they sacrifice their life for the govt, nuke plant executives and all the nuke-huggers of the world.
I've seen on TV like they sent those workers to the reactor and told them: "reputation of a lot of people depends on you". Not the safety of the nation. The reputation of the nuker morons who won't go to the site themselves. That's how sick that is.
This is one of those weir cases where some people have to die to save the masses. I loath that this even happened, but those guys are heroic man, not Kamakazi suicidal, but real atomic samurai..... have some respect for the doomed.
seriously, what type of facility will it take to purify 10,000,000 tons of radiated water? is this within reason or is this just another placebo? then what about the remainder?
The workers are no longer required to wear dosemeters? This is CRIMINAL ! My heart goes out to everyone affected by this. This is catastrophe of major proportions: earthquake, tsunami and then this ongoing lethal threat.
Unfortunately for all of us, the genie is out of the bottle and NO ONE IN THIS DAMN WORLD knows how to put it back in. They calculate 8 to 9 months to stop the catastrophe.
@NoNORADon911 if you will fly in a plane, you are being exposed to the same level of radiation as drinking the water in Tokyo. if you will get an xray, you are getting more radiation. living in a brick or marble structure exposes you to natural radiation. Eating a banana will make your radiation readings higher. it is less scary when you understand radiation is natural and what relative levels are helpful vs harmful.
When you are told to go and work in a nuclear plant that is in trouble it's a sign you should be getting as far away from it as possible. Those people are suicidal and probably dumb. Self sacrifice has always been for fools, it's easy to name them heroes since we are sane enough to decline that 'honor'.
@neurel111 Self sacrifice has always been for fools ? What are you then ? lol .. How about those people who died in WW2 to stop Hitler ? Are they fools ?
@neurel111 So fire-fighters, police, and the military are dumb and suicidal. I don't even know how to respond to your comment because your such a dumbass.
If they joined because they WANT to risk their lives to save others then yes they are dumb, most join however for the pay. Only those who do not hold their own preservation foremost to all else WANT to risk themselves to help others, as such they are dumb, no smart person would risk his life unless he had no choice.
@neurel111 Well you obviously aren't up to date at all with what's going on. I'm glad there aren't a bunch of assholes like you on this planet that can't comprehend why someone would risk their life for a greater good and in this case it's to save many people. Police officers don't earn shit for what they do, so using your logic you think they are dumb. Some of these people are doing it because they want their families to be safe and you're calling them dumb? Think before you comment.
@neurel111 Yeah and you're just going to pass that off as fact? Many police officers who I know became cops because they wanted to help people even though their pay is bad. I would say the main reason why people become police officers is they want to be able to give back to the community and help people. And the cops that you see treating people bad and assaulting people for no reason are a small minority. But I'm guessing you still think they're dumb because they risk their life for bad pay.
If that is the reason they joined then yes they are dumb. Though most if not all cops will say that they joined for the good of the people, if you believe them at their word you are dumb too. Cops can get away with many things, it's not a minority as you claim, it's the majority, most just don't want to risk their jobs with big things so they do small things. Cops are humans.
@neurel111 You are seriously an idiot. Where are you getting these "facts" that nearly all cops didn't join because they wanted to help people. Some cops get away with things not all. And it is a minority of police officers that do horrible things that make the majority look bad. When do you hear on the news about a cop doing something good? Probably hardly ever because all the news wants to talk about police doing bad things because it's more interesting than talking about what they do right.
@arolas I have a mask similar to the one he was complaining about. The manual even advised against wearing it for prolonged periods of time like the worker was describing. Put yourself in his shoes. When you see reports that people surrounding the plant are bound to have cancer in the long term future what fucking difference does it make if you're mask is not on as tight.
Wait, so they have sent robots into some of these areas... haven't the workers been crawling all over the place? This was never announced, i thought the workers had full access to everything.... not geting all info here, what else are they not telling us? Short exposure should be ok, i thought that is what they were doing?????
And the US doesn't care, they did have a Senate meeting and? permits were granted in 2009 for operations up to 60 years, is someone insane you built that shit in the 1970's, it's gonna run until 2030 or more. hell no, replace these plants with current technology right now, we don't have cars trains or planes 60 yrs old for a reason
@esh1 So you're just going to post retarded comments hating specific government groups and agencies and not offer any solution? This is why nothing changes for the better.
@DvineGaming Hello Government scum. For mentally incapacitated scum like you, I will have you know Fukushima could have been whole different ballgame if Tepco had been collaborating with military to solve it but they tried to bury it and if you have studied any Physics, you would know better about radiation. You have no idea about the consequences of this and If you have no idea what our government is doing, stay in your gaming virtual world with your head stuck in sand!
@DvineGaming loooooooooooooooolololololol alright alright, I think you are a kid..... When you come up with a solution, lets hear it. The public marches, does what it can peacefully.... NOTHING EVER CHANGES, remember that! Why it does not change, that's for you to find out!
If all the workers quit, for whatever reason like maybe they don't want to die early, then would tepco and the japanese government be force to entombed the fukushima plant?
If you're interested in staying updated about fukushima, check out:
@FlyApolloSky They can't entomb the plant until the risk of further explosions is eliminated, i.e. the fuel rods must be cooled first. Otherwise, the tomb will simply blow up. Plus, to entomb the plant, you're going to need people to do it. This situation isn't over by a lot shot + could literally last for years. This may turn out to be far worse than Chernobl in the long run :(
@55ella2007k thank you for the reply. I'm still learning, this is all new to me. Michio Kaku said that this is like a science experiment and we're the guinea pigs. He mention the military entombing the plant as a last resort and it sounds like he wanted it done now as oppose to the continual release of radiation. I know they're downplaying it, but if they say it's not as bad as Chernobyl and the Russians entomb that, so my logic was that it was possible. You're very smart; I subscribed ;)
