Really like the video. I have to agree it was pointless having Jill in the game. Also it wasn't hard to guess that the shadowy figure in the cloak and mask was Jill. I agree that Sheva is handy but there are times particular with the light beam puzzle where Chris works it out and after she goes we did it. I was like no I did it lol. She does cover you well though and she makes a great mule pack! Once again great review!

I played this on pro and beat it after somewhere around 100 deaths. The AI is not good at all when you play on pro, and I had to keep dealing with n00b partners. Like the AI won't even heal you majority of the time on pro. I think it's an alright game.

Now I personally think that the voice acting in RE5 was "meh" and the Irvine was pretty horrible, but I actually enjoyed the fact that he sounded like he was from New England. I mean, you barely see those type of accents in videogames. If anything it made Irvine originality, over his generic character villain type.

I'm not quite sure you guys are looking at the game objectively.
About the only thing it lacked was the horror element (which, not suprisingly, RE4 lacked as well). However, the pros such as its interesting plot, well-developed cast of characters, great VOs, aesthetics, amazing musical score and co-op gameplay far outweigh that single con.
I personally was disappointed with the way RE4 turned out, and I definitely prefer the RE3.5 build. Same with RE2 and its 1.5 build.
what are you talking about i doubt jill is going to be in six even if they make a sixth game its hopfully going to be someone who has not been seen in the series to much like for example Billy that would good to see or Claire. Haven´t played Resident Evil 5 yet, but the mercenaries mode of RE4 was the best part of the game by far. Simply loved it.
If Capcom isn´t going to make a Wii-Version of RE5, I´m going to have to play it on PC sometime but I´m afraid they´re going to screw it up like the PC version of RE4.

Sure, if you're looking for survival horror. A true gamer cannot deny that they're good games for the goals they're trying to achieve...it's just that falling into the survival horror genre isn't one of them. I do miss the only school RE's, but what are ya gonna do? If you want to play a scary-ass game pick up Dead Space.
I have Dead Space. My fave game of last year, but the old RE games, Dino Crisis, the 1st 3 Alone in the Darks and the 1st 3 Silent Hills are too memorable to not miss how games were back in the day. Capcom SHOULD try to have made RE5 survival horror since that is what RE is known for. The game feels like it is going backward instead of forward.
It depends on what you're looking for. If you're looking for survival horror, then yes, unfortunately RE5 isn't what you're looking for. It's a good action/shooter, though, that cannot be denied. According to the director of the RE games he said that six is going to bring back the fear factor that everyone loved so much. He knows that his old fans aren't happy with the turn the series has made, so they're going to try and bring back what people loved so much. We'll see what happens.
I found myself bored with the game's easiness and to top that off, everyone uses them cheap infinite ammo weapons. Cheaters. They might as well play the game on very easy. I never played RE to shoot every monster I see. I played them cuz they were scary and had a amazing atmosphere. I hope the director goes back to RE roots. I would love to see how great a true next gen RE would look like.
Well that's the plan. There's an interview with him somewhere, just check it out. He said that's what he plans on doing, hopefully he'll keep his word.
Also, she doesn't know ALL the games, and also, the Japanese "bio hazard" series are way different in some points. The bio hazard 4 game play/trailer video had ghosts in it. So she doesn't understand humor also. Irving was awesome. He sounded like the voice actor for Street fighter series for Ryu.
I played every game since RE1. If anyone knows what a true fan, it is me. All the false fans that jumped on board come RE4-RE5 are the ones that are NOT RE fans. Plus spin offs don't count (although I did play every RE game besides RE light gun game on the wii). About the story: Any thing RE4 on up I don't care for since they fucked up the story and atmosphere. RE4 destroyed the realistic "it could happen feel".
Playing Japanese versions does not make u any less of a fan if you play the US versions. Are you saying that only ppl who understand japanese are true fans? Plus, when did YOU start the RE series? You are too inexperienced to make this claim.
RE4 was harder, yes, but still fuckin easy. I beat the game on every setting. My 10 year old nephew can beat the RE4 on the hardest setting, but cant even beat any old school RE on the easiest setting.
Well, after Resident Evil 4, they went to find Wesker for info on the Las Plagas virus and himself, Jill "sacrifices herself" to save Chris, so now instead of having Jill dead, they bring her back to life.
Allow me to interject: RE4 is really easy...but it's still a good game. Just because it didn't follow the canon formula from the old RE games doesn't warrant the title of a bad game: it's just different. Also: I have played all the linear RE games, I *am* a fan. I've been playing them since they came out on the original PS. My personal fav is actually RE:CV, which is way before 4. Also, I have played Dead Aim and Outbreak, they just fucking sucked so I stopped.
Uh ya I did beat it on the hardest setting. I beat the game after this comment I left. Thing is, is that EVERY game is supposed to be hard on the hardest setting. Game still is a fuckin cakewalk for a us old school RE vets. Lickers were smaller in number in RE2, but you knew that they were a great threat if you let your guard down.

I personally was disappointed with the way RE4 turned out, and I definitely prefer the RE3.5 build. Same with RE2 and its 1.5 build.

what are you talking about i doubt jill is going to be in six even if they make a sixth game its hopfully going to be someone who has not been seen in the series to much like for example Billy that would good to see or Claire. Because i think capcom was ending the Chris and Jill thing finally because everytime they are togethor wesker shows up so all in all it was just not feel right but everyone has there own opinon.

RE5 is more of an action game instead of survival horror, which made the franchise so famous. I was a little disappointed with RE5. RE4 still the best!

dont play pro with the AI you will never win lol.. it is sooo hard.. basically you have to be back to back with your parnter the whole game..took my friend and i forever..but we got all the achievements on ps3 so we pwn

Haven´t played Resident Evil 5 yet, but the mercenaries mode of RE4 was the best part of the game by far. Simply loved it.
If Capcom isn´t going to make a Wii-Version of RE5, I´m going to have to play it on PC sometime but I´m afraid they´re going to screw it up like the PC version of RE4.

Sure, if you're looking for survival horror. A true gamer cannot deny that they're good games for the goals they're trying to achieve...it's just that falling into the survival horror genre isn't one of them. I do miss the only school RE's, but what are ya gonna do? If you want to play a scary-ass game pick up Dead Space.

I have Dead Space. My fave game of last year, but the old RE games, Dino Crisis, the 1st 3 Alone in the Darks and the 1st 3 Silent Hills are too memorable to not miss how games were back in the day. Capcom SHOULD try to have made RE5 survival horror since that is what RE is known for. The game feels like it is going backward instead of forward.

It depends on what you're looking for. If you're looking for survival horror, then yes, unfortunately RE5 isn't what you're looking for. It's a good action/shooter, though, that cannot be denied. According to the director of the RE games he said that six is going to bring back the fear factor that everyone loved so much. He knows that his old fans aren't happy with the turn the series has made, so they're going to try and bring back what people loved so much. We'll see what happens.

I found myself bored with the game's easiness and to top that off, everyone uses them cheap infinite ammo weapons. Cheaters. They might as well play the game on very easy. I never played RE to shoot every monster I see. I played them cuz they were scary and had a amazing atmosphere. I hope the director goes back to RE roots. I would love to see how great a true next gen RE would look like.

Also, she doesn't know ALL the games, and also, the Japanese "bio hazard" series are way different in some points. The bio hazard 4 game play/trailer video had ghosts in it. So she doesn't understand humor also. Irving was awesome. He sounded like the voice actor for Street fighter series for Ryu.

I played every game since RE1. If anyone knows what a true fan, it is me. All the false fans that jumped on board come RE4-RE5 are the ones that are NOT RE fans. Plus spin offs don't count (although I did play every RE game besides RE light gun game on the wii). About the story: Any thing RE4 on up I don't care for since they fucked up the story and atmosphere. RE4 destroyed the realistic "it could happen feel".

RE4 was harder, yes, but still fuckin easy. I beat the game on every setting. My 10 year old nephew can beat the RE4 on the hardest setting, but cant even beat any old school RE on the easiest setting.

Allow me to interject: RE4 is really easy...but it's still a good game. Just because it didn't follow the canon formula from the old RE games doesn't warrant the title of a bad game: it's just different. Also: I have played all the linear RE games, I *am* a fan. I've been playing them since they came out on the original PS. My personal fav is actually RE:CV, which is way before 4. Also, I have played Dead Aim and Outbreak, they just fucking sucked so I stopped.

Uh ya I did beat it on the hardest setting. I beat the game after this comment I left. Thing is, is that EVERY game is supposed to be hard on the hardest setting. Game still is a fuckin cakewalk for a us old school RE vets. Lickers were smaller in number in RE2, but you knew that they were a great threat if you let your guard down.
