  • I think it's rediculous this song has only 28,362 hits. C'mom people this song is timeless!!!!!!!!!

  • Incorrect - it is Steve Lukather on lead guitar.

  • One of Lukather's finest solos on one of Boz's finest tracks.

  • @tonyjforder

FYI that's Ray Parker Jr on lead guitar.

  • Always wanted to play this song but no band I was ever in would touch it. Takes me back to college days. Cool music was coming back then.

  • @polarmolar Strange, as this song is rockin.' It's almost as if Boz Scaggs gets overlooked as pop, when in reality he is a genre chameleon. This is straight up rock... and on the same album (Middle Man) you got disco with "Simone," funk/R&B with "Jojo," and something close to New Wave with the titular track. And this is coming from a 24 year old ;-)

  • you have some of my faves! and i like your beginning and just the album cover....sometimes i like pics of trees, but this lets me concentrate on the song...

  • Luv this x 100!!!

  • 1980?!... My God!...where did the time go? Just as hot today as it was then!

  • such a cool song

  • great song

  • When are those clowns in the music industry gonna make music like this again???

  • @RomneyGack Never, my friend...they're clowns!

  • Billboard's #97 song of '80. Boz hit #15 in Billboard. God bless!

  • Cool! One of his best ever that really should get more attention/airplay by oldies stations.

Sly lines like "Before you go south/with your big mouth/better check your heart" make this one a treat.

  • Never hear this one anymore-of all things I remember is hearing this song as my '73 Dodge turned 100,000 miles near Winchester, Indiana, probably over WOWO in Ft. Wayne. No the car did not break down (then). Was summer , 1980.

  • FUCKING AWESOME

  • @nightflight83 EXACTLY!

  • Going to see The Dukes of September next week....hope they do this song so I can embarrass my son!!

  • Danger there's Obama straight ahead, and maybe he's in way above his head...

  • @yuritim I don't think there's any "maybe" about it. Hopefully, the voters will have a "cold reaction" this November.

  • @bdgop very funny and how true it shall be. Can't come soon enough.

  • @yuritim LMAO I love it

  • @yuritim Anybody that would have taken office after Bush would have been way in over their head-except for Hillary!

  • @yuritim No 'maybe' about it. He definitely IS! God bless!

  • I liked this album better than Silk but that's just my view, the good thing is he still tours even played Australia a couple of times in the past few years until other artists

  • BOZ! He has always done it right. The music, the lyrics, the way he's lived his life and that VOICE !!!

  • I remember when this song was just an instrumental without words and Boz Scaggs played it at a live concert back in 79 with his back-up musicians who would be later known as "Toto" (remember those guys?). They rocked the place when they played this song - with no lyrics, mind you! Later on he put words to the music for this great sounding track for this album. Well done, Boz. One of my favorite songs!

  • @spanishkisser actually those guys were known as Toto at the time as well..toto released there first album in 77 but still did alot of session work on the side for many including Silk wich David Paich co wrote. just a little fyi

  • ofcourse 2 people here

  • This tune is to .....cool ;]
