single exhaust sounds better. sounds tighter and more performance oriented, not lazy and burbling like "oh what ...were racing ? ok hold on, let me get ready first."
@skaterdeclan I dunno, the bumper gives me mixed feelings and the exhaust itself seems excessivly big IMO. Unless this guys pushing big numbers with forced induction I really don't see the point in it being that big, mines only like 3 inches and I still get the deep throaty sound from my 1UZ.
And if you knew anything about your car exhaust mods outside of longtubes do not make any power on the 1uz. And when you run your x pipe make sure you stay with the oem 2.25" piping as the great xpipe actually causes a drop in flow. So enjoy losing the low end on you already semi weak 1uz
@eghatchattack just go 2.25 from the cats back running a dual set up with a balance pipe up front and 2 oval sports style mufflers on the rears and YOU BE PIMPING :P
hites05, far out, have you heard of individual preference?? who gives a rats ass what your opinion is??? ever heard of that old paradigm "if ya ain't got anythin nice to say, don't say it at all"???

looks gorgeous? it looks like pure stupid ricer ass. single exit exhaust when you have dual cutouts? idc how many FRACTIONS of a hp you gained from going single instead of dual, it looks retarded.
hites05. A single exit exhaust weighs half as much as a dual exhaust you dip shit. And on the sc3/sc4 the duals run into a single y pipe then split again so single or dual is the same thing retard.
1. Unless you plan on striping the car down to the AC and seats, saving around 20lbs from a muffler and piping is not a big deal.
2. On the SC400 (I have a 98'), replacing the y-pipe with an x-pipe increases performance (along with custom headers of course) and when running an x-pipe having a dual exhaust seems more viable.
If you planed to strip the car than the weight saving would be of more relevance. No matter what you say, with the bumper cutouts, the dual looks better. Yours is ricey.
the car doesnt have two exhaust cut outs. The rear single exit lip was off in the video as i had just gotten the exhast done as the front and rear bumpers were off the car in order for it to fit on the lift.
@99998886666 the ac is the first to go btw and a single pipe make better back preusre which in turns make a deeper sound as well as better compersion and how is it ricy if anything runing the stock y pipe and x pipe is ricy becuase its uncessary weight
Single may sound good, but I definitely prefer when there are 2 mufflers. Especially if the car was meant to have two.

Looks gorgeous and sounds even better. Why'd you go single exhaust on it? If nothing else, I just love the dual look on the SCs.
Props, hope to see a street vid sometime.
