  • None of this happened when colonies were there. Establish colonies again, and everybody is happy, exept black population. But who the fuck cares about them anyway. Blacks never had a civilization, THEY ARE SAVAGES.

  • Comment removed

  • @rozitchadien Yeah, this is what i was talking about when i said "THEY ARE SAVAGES", every centens you wrote in this comment went like this : "Fuck..." You are not capable of normal conversation...

  • Comment removed

  • @rozitchadien Yeah sure... I just want to say that bringing colonies back would be much better ; )

  • southbobby actually they were invited by the chadian government and have been there for a while so give up the neo colonialism crap its quite annoying

  • 105 reported killed on Chad/Sudan border today

  • I think it is 1000

  • Nowadays French army have a permanent military base in Chad (1250 soldiers) to protect French citizens and interests.

  • Because the french controlled chad in the 1600's til the 1960's for resources and the out come of war's in the past its one of the countrys they were in but if the Chinese are selling weapons they are just doing it for the Russian's as a favor just like the U.S. and South American Country's you need corruption to show that you have order.

  • "Why are the french in Chad anyway"...

nice beginning of sentence but let me end it :

"...and why the Chinese sell weapons to rebels"

  • Why are the french in Chad anyway. No one invited them they should go home.

  • Absolutely right!

  • oh its ok man, let the french stay in chad and die. cuz we all know the french cant fight for shit and a bunch of farmers will kick their gay asses. send more french troops into chad so they can die. that would be a dream come true!!!

  • What great memories of Chad..Ndjamena....and south...one of the most interesting Africian countries i visited...the night club had to security guards armed with machine guns..Awesum !!!

  • lol , yup dat true mon amie security guards armed with machine guns nd when u wanna go home after being drunk they will threat ya nd steal ur money nd that's thier main jobs, hahaha

  • The French colonized Chad, Its expected that the former colonial power should intervene or come to the rescue and protect its citizens.

  • oh man come on , Chad is our home nd we 'll never leave Chad untill our daughter (chad)grown up nd we she can depends on her self nd nobody can rape her at dat tym we 'll kiss our daughter good bye

  • Chad was a former French colony and France keeps diplomatic and economic relationships with Chad.

Nowadays, France has a permanent military base in N'Djamena (1250 soldiers) to protect French citizens and interests.

  • their currency is still frans even after many years of colonial rule-God help them-until they untie themselves from their colonial masters will they find peace::french troops protect their citizens in their own country-they are throwing bombs on their own-this is a far cry from nigeria with the same no of ethnic groups-200-yet they sleep in peace every day

  • The chad rebels never took control of the capital. It's all lies.

  • Yeah..just think about your own country.....!!!! and know one else..get off your fuckin ass an try some travelling cos ya tiny mind needs expanding from fuck ass lines like the one ya just wrote

  • me too dude

  • I like that,that's a real report.good

  • This is excellent reporting, and I hope they continue to cover this area of the world. If you are interested in Chad or travel to Chad, I would recommend chadnow . com. As far as I know, it's the only site dedicated completely to the republic of Chad.

  • Let us preserve Sudanese Poeple against GLOBAL WARMING

  • Well, Ban Ki Moon said that the genocide there was caused by global warming... Heh, yeah... that figures.

  • he has a lot of vids

  • WERI2008

  • I WOULD DO THE SAME FOR A hungry CHRISTIAN i would still feed him even thou he might hate me.

  • God bless CHRISTIAN & MUSLIM ETHIPOIA! We don't use religion to divide one another. This is what is wrong with Black Africa today. People are using religion as a tool of destruction. If i see a hungry Muslim i would still feed him even thou he might hate me.

  • careful with your language...loosly throwing the word genocide marginalizes actual genecide like the holocaust, and the atrocities in Rwanda

  • Chad is a great country. Unfortunately, similiarly to Cambodia---it has seen its fair share of hell during the past few decades.

I was there with 'Corps de la Paix'for two years. People are generally very nice. It breaks my heart to see what the Chadians are going through.

My sympathy for you. My thoughts and prayers are always with you!

    Ton frère,

    Du Cambodge!

  • Yeah conduit99, I second what ebiekem said. The AU is all Black African and you'd like for it to be a "Face for Western Neo-Colonialism", but it's not. It may not have all the monetary resources it needs as it is over extended with duties in Darfur, but don't be mistaken, it is 100% Black African. As large nations like Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Angola and others rise in economic power, so will the resources and effectiveness of the AU. So fuck off and tell the French to leave Chad.

  • what is that suppose to mean. religion is not the issue!! my God why are there people like you??

  • Chad is great!

  • It is ashame your 1st words is about religion. This shows how SMALL your brain is and it also shows how brain washed you are. Wake up and smell the shit on your shoes. :)

  • I'm sure Sudan's Genocidal government is backing up this attack on Chad

  • Sudan is a terrorist state that is destablizing the sorounding countries. Try this with Ethiopia and you know what will happen to Cartoon.

  • I feel sorry for Africa. Africans have a deseas called tribalism and there is no cure like aids. From East to west Africa is burning, corupt Poluticians are responsible.

  • This should show Chad that it has no military power compared to Sudan. Deby could not even stop rebels on pickup trucks! Its is time for him to step down. If a war breaks out between Sudan and Chad, Deby's days will be numbered!

  • 2 skinny sick men with sharp sticks fighting over a of sack of donated grain

  • just name one resource the French are actually exploiting from Chad!!! there is only one oil field in production and it's exploited by Americans. you think the Sudanese and their Chinese financiers will be much kinder??? dream on buddy.

  • yep, agree 100%.

  • Does Wacky Qadafi support the rebels?

  • I am so sick of those money seekers........ Deby and rebels just leave the damn country and killed ur urself somewhere else!! Those rebels used to work for the president and one of the leader his is own nephew!! They are not trying to liberate the country, they want the money!!! I am so sick of those selfish people!! AND YES I AM CHADIAN LIVING IN THE US, MY FAMILY LIVES THERE AND DONT HAVE ANY NEWS!!!!

  • I have seen so very little on this horrible situation in the MSM in the US. Thank you AlJazeera for having reporters on the ground so that we in the US can get some news of the mess. I feel so sorry for the civilinas caught in the crossfire. I hope the French stiffen their backbones and can bring a resolution to the problems.

  • (From Reuters)

[Rebels] say Deby...has squandered the country's oil resources, which are being developed by a U.S.-led oil consortium.

Chad was named the most corrupt country in the world, along with Bangladesh, in Transparency International's Corruption Perceptions Index for 2005.

  • Doesnt matter where you go, Toyota trucks will always be there. If there's one thing which is truelly global, its the Toyota pickup truck...

Feel really bad for the civilians though, they always come off the worst :(

  • hahaha bye bye Deby

  • actually, that's not so clear yer, his helicopters and tanks are engaging the rebels and their toyota trucks. we will see in a few days

  • It is difficult to consider the statements of the French government and African Union as having any credibility, especially when any term related to "democracy" is used for questionable elections in which international observers noted "irregularities."

  • Chadian president Deby needs to step down and tried for all the corruption, killings, rapes he had committed.

  • lets resolve kenya fist then chad or both together ... whats happening in AFRICA is totally not acceptable ... behavior from the part of the rebels are rubbish !

  • Wow, thats a powerful, impelling and influential argument that you've put across there. Profanity is great but please try to back it up with some witty retorts!

  • Sorry that was meant for EBIEKIEM! Who must surely be the least persuasive person involved in this thread!

  • wait for the west to recognize the rebels...then the AU have to follow their masters and recognize them

  • what did you say? we will follow our "masters"?who the fuck do you think you are?

  • qeeyroo is 100% right, even though i hate to admit it but au is a useless organisation and only a cover up for western ifluence.

  • African Union should stop this hipocrisy of chiding the rebel action against the dictator. There is no other peaceful option for change allowed by the Chadian (quasi-democratic) President that have refused to step down from power since 1990.Chadians have no other option than to boot him out.

  • African Government too weak and too easy to fall.

  • Thank you
