  • I LOVE NAS!!

  • I'm from the same neighborhood as the kids who killed that young man, my sympathies go out to him BUT I saw the video and spotted him in the middle of the melee throwing punches...???

An "Honor student" who was innocent wouldn't have involved himself in a brawl. The kids who did that CANNOT attend school in the neighborhood where they live because of a DUMB rezoning that was done, so that had them attending school in an area where there was ALWAYS animosity...seems like that was set up...???

  • We all may not act on it, but I can remember plenty of mornings getting dressed and putting on the Tim's and being caught up in the Gansta vibe from my music. I have had to fight off many thoughts because of the mentality music would put me in. But I knew I could not blame the music and that the music couldnt save me. We must Blame self first, but music does influences our thoughts wich lead to our actions. Dont Change your music, change your mind. Nothing but Love Jaystaks

  • Im tired of hearing Nas Say Hip hop is not the influence or not part of the problem. I love Nas style of music and his topics. The truth is that he found a way to speak about violence in an artistic way, wich is what Hip hop evolved into after being influenced by violence. Ironic is'nt it. that now hip hop is blamed for influencing the violence. Our minds are stimulated by this artistry of words and beats.

Dont Change your music, Change your Mind

  • y do u think barack gives a damn about blks when the ppl funding dont give a damn it takes an honor student to look a blk violence really what makes one life less valuable then another I grind everyday trying to save lives and noone cares

  • Nas sold out. How he gonna go from beefing with Jay z to being on his label. People do anything for the cheese. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

  • @jakhaarikiaana beefing is ignorant, Nas and Jay settled it like men and decided to help each other make money. P.S. making money doesn't make you a sell out, every artists wants to make millions everyone wants to be rich (except Buddhist Monks)

  • @cosmonautiks

jakaarikaana is right. He raps for the check. There is a difference.

  • @jakhaarikiaana I kinda feel but it wasn't about seelin out.It was about squashin some shit that coulda led to death..If Pac & Big hadda deaded they beef, they might still be here..The media glamouorizes violence too for that matter..Turn it on and see if you dont get every negative goin on in the world. Why you got a problem that they squashed they beef, and as a result,he ended up on the label.?..I'm just sayin..That was a positive move..I disagree wit they illuminati ties if anything.

  • at 4:45 the presenter sounded like he was about to give out an award until he realised its actually something serious then tones down.

  • Black on Black crimes really need to stop seriously!!!

  • @sexyrose93 human on human crimes need to stop....nas keeps hush about what he really know because he dont wna end up like jfk or more closer to home odb or even closer...pac and biggie....he aint paid to bring em out hes scared shitless thats why he codes up alot of it in his music,

  • @shiftas2 Yes its true human on human crimes needs to stop, but black on black crimes really really need to stop!! Because too many blacks are getting killed by their own people. Blacks need to get along together as a family. We as blacks already struggling so why make the whole situation much worse. Everyday on the news and on the streets all i see is blacks talking shit about other blacks and fighting.

  • Illuminatis setup black people through hip-hop guys like Nas were paid be them to bring out hip-hop

  • Hip-hop++ DEATH Rap is total different do your research it came from africa Eygpt

  • You'll never catch Jay or the rest of those sellout fakes (Wayne, Diddy) supporting a cause like this, they'd probably want money for showing up...

  • his reaction is from 2pacs heart fyi

  • bored!

  • Nas untitled excellent album...but nas hip hop n all music influence weak minded youths...get out of prison...prison of ur mind

  • Yo check this out. A kid gets beaten to death in broad day light. It makes NATIONAL news and causes black people to get more concious on this black on black crime. Just by one black kid on the honor roll. HOWEVER THIS STUFF HAPPENS EVERY DAMNNNN DAY!!! If the media reported just 1/4 of all the time black youth are dying it would bridge the gap between the middle and poor class and would bring about REAL CHANGE!

  • nas is speakin the fuckin truth like always

  • @eddy181844 i know what you mean, MOST people dont just go out and do what they hear but the sad truth is a FEW dont truly understand songs like one love by nas which basically shows the tragedies of living like that way he demonstrated,a few people see this and dont understand what artists are trying to convey and they interperate the wrong way, they try emulate this shit and think they some hip thugs and want to live the life artists portray just to be cool, sad truth is some people is stupid..

  • I agree with Nas because music should have no influence on anybody. It's just about being self-minded. All the Clipse, Cassidy, Nas, 50 cent, etc. I listened to and never thought to go outside and hurt, shoot or kill anybody is proof enough. If you don't have a mind of your own to not do any of the things you hear in MUSIC, then that just means you don't have a strong will.

  • i love nas he's one of my favorite lyricist but hip hop has some type of influence on the youth. hip hop influence people, some in a good way and others in a bad way

  • @tull06 Personal bias?????....or you mean his fucking reality?...This dude grew up in the projects of Newyork, and with the history that African Americans have in this country and you expect his political views to be on par with middle class or upper class white Americans?...Please do us all a favor shut the up and sit your ass all the way down

  • @rajecks You are nowhere near educated enough to talk to me like that, so sush you cunt.

  • @tull06 really? hahahahahahah...well i guess pursuing a masters and phd together in psychology is not an education as i thought....and you say Nas is biased?....I wonder if you even finished High School...good luck my friend..

  • @rajecks Judging by your grammer the only masters you could claim is being a master fucktard. Now go do some Freud and fuck your mother.

  • @tull06 fucktard?????fuck your mother???? do some freud????lol..White trash move out of your trailer park neighborhood and then maybe we can reason together. Don't need to prove my education to a dim wit

  • @rajecks

while i don't agree with tull06 completely, i must say nas was a lot better when he was street/concious than political. he's putting himself in a box thats not letting him be the artist/mc that he can be. but i do respect him maturing up.

  • @RelaxednCaIm I feel you on that one

  • NAS IS THE MAN! Light in a age of dispear. Keep it up nas you got all the support from your fans.

  • @yapalapdapa16 Nas fell off years ago end of.

  • I WANNA MARRY HIM....lol

  • he should be applauded for this, but i find it ridiculous that he claims that hip hop music has no influence on the youth.

  • @sHART1780 I agree, Hip-Hop has influenced me a lot and a lot of other people so I don't understand why he would say that.

  • @RapperMaximum it's because if he did then he'd have to take some responsibility for his lyrics. of course you can't blame him when someone else kills somebody, but if he admitted his music had an influence then he'd be admitting that his music influences violence, which he doesn't want to be known for. He has to know it's BS. If you're an idol then your fans will look up to you and emulate you. It's logical that his music would inspire some violence.

  • @sHART1780 exactly!

  • @sHART1780 Ah, I get it now. Thanks man.

  • welcome to chi town

  • "It’s beyond black.” That’s a powerful tidbit right there.

  • @alyahenai,if nas is a hypocrite, then wtf are you,get the fuck outta here.people like have no soul, the man is trying to give comfort to a family who just lost their son,and you are here saying what, like nice said, good people die young,it can never be people like you getting beat up to death, its always good innocent people like derrion albert.

  • Nas is a hypocrite!

  • @alyahenai Nas is not a hypocrite but an artist and human being who battles two different poles inwardly like all of us human beings do!!!!!

  • @alyahenai how is he a hypocrite?

you act like hes killing people and lying about what he said...your retarded lol

  • @ThumbsUpMike he is... he has some great deal of influence on our young people and the world sir. He's a leader in the community! Leaders, positive leaders are responsible for their followers. Nas perpetuates a lifestyle he no longer live. So much so that he influenced you in a way to call me retarded and you probably never met him in your life! smh

  • @alyahenai ugh jesus christ

okay that is not what meant

Nas influenced many people, many rappers, many living things...he could have influenced a tree to give oxygen hes that fucking good

hes saying his raps dont influence violence! cuz rap is the least of the problems...when you got crazy violent movies and on the news and all this mindless warfare

nas is saying rap can influence violence but its very unlikely cuz its sensitive in this era of hatred that it basically does nothing!

    get it?

  • @ThumbsUpMike I get what you saying and what he saying. The whole point is rap like anything else can influence a person negatively or positively which caan effect their thoughts, feelings and actions. Most of nas's songs are negative. I'm aware of the movies and media... and i see it as all the same sir. A person who kills is no different than the person who promotes it. Why not promote peace and unity for ALL people instead separation and race.

  • @alyahenai because hip hop stars idolize money and status, and if a hip hop star started rapping about peace and love and unity his fans would abandon him and other rappers would laugh at him. the hip hop world isn't about love, it's about violence, sexism, racism and the worship of money and power.

  • @sHART1780 thank u for your reply. I'll will be making a poem about the hip hop.. i'll be uploading it on youtube so be on the look out. I have one already call "Respect: A sense of belonging" check it out :)

  • @ThumbsUpMike Yeah I agree what you sayin.

  • a legend

  • Oh my nas....<faints>

  • Nas is a real Nubian Brother

  • Nas is a Legend Now,Then, and Foreva.......Nas my kid's and myself will foreva believe in you....keep speaking the truth about the goverments prapoganda....lies...opression...etc...We know in ourselves we build from here !

  • @rangelnowlin

Nas sold out.. just like kanye west and jay-z, he is part of government now.. he is all that propaganda and lies.. i used have mad respect for nas. one of my favorite rappers till i seen how he sold out.. sorry but he aint that old nas no more

  • @luedogg007 I guess you didn't hear the Nas & Damian Marley album then.

  • @luedogg007 or his nigger album

  • We need more niggas like Nas... not those nitch rappers that rap about money cash hoes and swagg

    lil wanye ...... cough cough

  • nas is coming

  • Fenderass suck my dick cock sucka im in trenton and im hard pussy!!! im tired of you motha fuckas! rize Rize Rize

  • it's amazing how blacks are unwilling to make the internal psychological/emotional changes to help prevent these kind of social ills. did you hear, you young black fools amaze me motherf*ckers...

  • it amazing how u devils dont know ur take over is short lived and coming to an end ,...

Didi you hear me white man, enjoy the sun while u can fag ass white boys and girls

  • this is so gay i fuckin hate when shit like this happens. everyone's just lookin for someone to blame. oh it's the movies, oh it's rap, oh it's video games. especially parents. stop blaming the things we create and blame yourself for creating that shit in the first place.

  • Why is it said the way Nas said it? Because its not the fact that its not important or that it doesnt hurt to see the viciousness, its just that this is what blacks are grown to get used to. Responding dramitically .. well lets just say "you wouldn't get farr" bcuz you gotta keep going. Hopefully in a right way up. look for ways to succeed. I got grown men in my college classes and they got wise things to say.

  • You have to ignore people like fenderbass. He or She is a person who would never step to a black man 1 on 1 and say what he's typing safely at home.

  • Fenderbass your hate and racism is sickening and disgusting, you really need to check yourself cause you are lacking morals and are a coward sir, I'd like to see you say that garbage to an african american's face, COWARD!!

  • fenderbass needs to start goin after girls(or guys) outside his family, he might think we're in the 1930's or the 1800's but if he stopped drinkin that "skinhead liquor" he might realize that racism is history, like abraham lincoln...

  • @JayDiggs12 you're an idiot!

  • His own peers? He was beat to death by honor students? What the fuck?

  • lol what a loser @ 0:40 waaahhh *clap clap* whhhaaaa"

  • trasea u really think nas goes out there and robs bank and commits crime?? cmon every rapper found a way to make money...and for the albums to sell they have to say all that , but if u stupid enough to listen to it and go out there and do it in real life , then theres somethin wrong with ur brain! -peace-

    stop the violence

  • YOU ARE AN IDIOT....MY NIGGA.

  • YOU ARE A FAG...

  • i wish i could make money by talking about robbing banks and then preach to the rest of the world that committing a robbery is wrong.

  • point #3 I shall never cooperate wit da law

Never snake me i'll always hold ya down in war

If dey take one of mine

    I'll take one of there's

I never break da oath to da death I sware

I sware. this is another direct quote from nas's song "Smokin' nas states that he wants the violence to stop in chicago, but he states in his song, don't cooperate with the law if one of yours gets killed or injured, retaliate and kill injure one of them. does that sound like anti violence?

  • yea i hear what ya sayin thats why i allways stick to tupac . he even sais nas jay z prodigy all here to confuse people . how can they talk about they real killas all this and then say they love the hood . they play both sides of the fence ..

nas and jay z are freemasons because they have so much influence over people that the big cooperations couldnt get b4

watch my video prof griff exposes jay z for sellin out itl explain a lot ,,,, peace

  • point #2 nas is quoted as saying that black on black crime is the worst. like black on tan....black on yellow... black on white crime isn't as bad. try getting the real message out to kids like crime on anyone is wrong

  • ok point #1 "I got a bunch of bullits an a bag of guns I'll pass em to my niggas come on" that is a direct line from a nas song "smokin'. so he's preaching about peace and end the violence, well kids take your lyrics to heart and become killers because it's accepted in the hip hop lyrics.

  • You have to understand rappers speak in terms of what they've seen and lived, but its a reflection of the streets they come from. Nas isn't literally meaning he's gonna do those things.

  • ha, this is the point!

  • FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEMASON !

  • PRETTY MUCH

  • no way

  • This is one of the many reasons in why Nas is the greatest of all MCs. Nas is a true poet, even when he's on television... his prophetic, oracle insight ignites the struggle. Homey's still "Illmatic" (hence "Stillmatic"). "Untitled" is pure classic. Wise words from track 14: "We're Not Alone" - "I used to worship a certain Queens police murderer/ til' I read the words of Ivan Van Sertima/ He inserted in me somethin so worthy of/ now I spit revolution, I'm his hood interpreter".

  • We need to not criticize"WATCH BIRTH OF A NATION"THINK BEFORE YOU ACT, BE PROUD TO BE YOUNG ,GIFTED, AND BLACK!

  • I'm suprised people on 106 & Park heard of Nas. LMAO at the silly jesus and god comments.

  • ONE LOVE, use the mind god gave you! We know right from wrong! LiFE or Death

  • unless u were on the streets you cant say anything...glass houses shatter folks. and this one is coming crashing down

  • you are not in the position to assume he glorifies death. He's just saying that, reality is still need to be shown and we can't overshadow that. For they need to be addressed. True, Jesus saves, and he's not saying he saves or no one is saying that.

You're full of assumptions. You have a messianic complex. You're still young.

  • NAS has always been supportive when it comes to tragedies as such as this one. I'm from the CHI so it's coll that he gave us a shout out, good lookin on that Nas.

  • Right Right...Chicago forever

  • nas last album was a classic with no ignorance at all in it.

  • I agree and if anyone knows anything about Russel Simmons he's not only BOULE but he is a MAJOR Zionist kike ass kisser.

  • I see they left this part out of his blog excerpts

" Look at the racist dogs who love to see us down. Loving to bury us in the ground or in jail where we continue this worthless war on one another. "

And no not everyone sitting in that crowd knows who they are half of them don't even know our history and birthrights have been hijacked notice his emphasis on Black-American or African American AS IF that's a REAL nationality.

Nas probably the only one on stage who know who REAL Israelites are.

  • Other than that I agree w/ what he is saying and i big-up him for that I feel he went against what "BET" calls itself because it's not black-owned lol..Kikes run BET now.

  • Johnson was just a front man. BET was always owned by the same Zionist media moguls but they stayed in the back ground, and it's the same deal going on with Oprah. Despite the money and power they may appear to have they are still just puppets. The only difference is their strings are made from silk.

  • Yeah I know BET is owned by Viacom which no black people own it's all Kiked out lol

The half-black woman who is the front for BET has several photos online of her and her family kissing Zionist Kike booty she isn't pro-black and she makes sure her daughter and son don't dress like the subliminal brainwashing being sold to our youth on BET.

They have their kids dressed like rich white folk from London and it's not just because they can afford it I hate hearing that B.S. excuse..

  • He named Belly because what did Nas do in the movie? He parted from X and focused his mind on Africa.

    Ya Dig?

We gotta take Africa to the 21st century and enter it into the space age!

  • Nas, tell em the truth. He is holding back
