  • how to make the texture map "on"?

  • GoZ exports it and saves it, even though it has the 3DS Max path... in other words, it doesn't work for me.

    Any advice?

    Why does the GoZ button export the files and saves them to disk instead of loading them into 3ds Max.

    for me doesnt work GoZ. I installed it everything was correct but when i click the button nothing happens... no message... no export in studio max. Install was good, Zbrush found max path... in max there is a Goz menu right...

    From max i cant transfer too... Doesnt found Zbrush... WHat's the problem?

  • Hey Screenwriter805, how are you man? I have an issue thats driving me nuts, hoping you could help. When I use goZ it doesnt carry over the material from zbrush (even though I filled the object). In Max's viewport it looks o.k but when it renders with mental ray the material dissapears? I do all of the following steps (create texture map, diffuse, and normal). In zbrush when I try to switch materials it doesnt work so I know its part of the model at that point. Any suggestions? thanks,

  • zup guys im having some trouble goinZ to3dmax, i do the textures displacement map and normal map and then Goz to 3dmax then i get the model but not the maps (texture, disp, norml ) i even check in the material editor i and got no materials. Please some help Hey this might be important, when i get the model in 3dmax its in wireframe and color red and the polys are triang then i check F3 and they are cuads wireframe white

  • when i put my model to all high in the subTool, then use GoZ, my model ends up all low in 3ds max. whats the problem?

  • hi there. i tried this but every time i transfer my mesh using GOZ, the mesh gets exported perfectly but the texture isn't.

    the mesh is there but no texture. can anyone help me?

  • Err, it also shows my model in black instead of the texture while I'm in my viewport, but it does render the texture.

  • Hi! I've been looking for this for a while, and altho this seems to work just fine, there seems to be one problem. I can't seem to have my details inside max. I've gotten all my maps applied, however it doesn't render details like the eyelids, which looks awkward... :I

    I have no idea what I'm doing wrong tho, since i'm pretty sure I did the exact same as in the vid... The texture does render tho btw, just not the displacement.

  • Hi, did u have any idea why my GoZ dosn't load displacement at all, and when i load it manually (even with the 0.9xx values) everything looks like a fat character? is really weird =(

    actually i am not using normal maps or displacement because i just can't make them work

  • I have 3Ds Max 2012, but whenever I do "GoZ" it tells me to select a GoZ enabled application, but won't let me select anything.

  • @DaftD0g Go to preferences>GoZ>path to 3dmax to enable the selection

  • does Goz work with 3dsmax 9 I can export from 3dsmax 9 to Zbrush 4 but Zbrush does'nt export back to Max. It opens Max but nothing is imported?

  • I can get this to work with any mesh exept meshes created using retopology. Any idea what might cause it?

  • having a issue with max 2010 not importing with maps...disp or normal map...it worked once but its not working now...seems like a common issue with no fix

  • This seems like a noob thing to say.....but i have NO idea where the Goz function is in 3Ds max....I just got it and I cant find the Button.....

  • Being pixologic and some of the bugs they are famous for in their releases I was NOT going to belive that GoZ was gonna be very workable,man I was wrong and ate my words,GoZ is amazing and all you do is start up and choose which apps to use it with (Bit like Zapplink) and away you go.

  • i been using a plug in called go max for a while now so its near same workflow 4 me :)

  • @liquidbear i used that for a while, but found it a bit weak. Norman is an excellent scripter, but this is much more polished.

  • @Screenwriter805 agree totally but it dont change the work flow to much from go max :D
