  • Lovely song...:)

  • Why is it that everytime I hear beautiful irish music I see comments from people with potty mouths? Some of them may be supportive, but it just ruins the entire feel of the music.

  • @TheLadyOno

Get over yourself and stop acting like such a cry baby. It's called free speech in a PUBLIC forum. Get used to it.

  • Comhaltas is such an amazing channel- amazing for it's wonderful treasury and sharing of traditional Irish music- also amazing for it's utter lack of taste in the commercials it chooses... for traditional Irish music is a rural thing of the heart and wood, not a noisy urbane thing of American vampires, hard rock, and other such plastic irrelevance. The pysche of the Comhaltas chief is that of a migrated Dubliner 'in tune' with pop culture- & yet guilty for having left the farm in Sligo

  • I think Irish are the only white people with good music.

  • @Gutsyndicate

whilst i realise that white people dont really have that much of their own native music, please dont steriostype here. ANY steriotyping, any steriotyping at all is bad. besides, the english for instance have trumpets as their native instrument, and much of that sounds lovely. scottish bagpipes also sound beutifull when you think about it. feel free to state your oppinion but dont bring race into any kind of argument please.

  • @AgitatedCookies lol sigh

  • @Gutsyndicate

It does not get much dumber than this.

  • @Rajamuttu You are just envious because you can only play your skin flute.

  • gorgeous

  • I could imagine myself beside them playing my clarinet, but I would only do it because I love music.

  • @sparkles9001

Except that you'd be in a totally different key and couldn't do the ornaments, sounds like a plan.

  • @sparkles9001 I'll play your clarinet, baby

  • sounds so cool!<3 the gurl on the flute is really pretty too:D

  • absolutely beautiful

  • good job! Not an easy feat to accomphish - especially at such a young age....looks like they are really trying - not unhappy - just full of concentration !! BEAUTIFUL - thanks for sharing : )

  • nice long healthy hair

  • great music.

  • lovely set, and louise is not too tough on the eyes as well.

can anyone shed some light on the second jig? i'm pretty certain that on the full set episode with molloy and carthy, as well as on their pathway to the well album, they call it the pride of rock chapel. but i can't find any reference to it under the title given here and i definitely know of another tune with the name humours of castlefinn.

  • thats not ironic thats just a pain in the hole hahahahaha

  • the flute players well good =D

    good music

i don't really care what they look like because there on stage and wouldn't exactly be the happiest

in a session theyd be fine =P

  • I agree it was too forced.....

  • Bellissimo !

  • It sounds alright, but real Irish music is played with warmth and emotion, not uptight and cold expressions. It's like the difference between Campbell's and your grandmother's homemade chicken noodle soup.

  • put up your own video then

  • @sushidudeiscool Uptight and cold? Really? I heard the expression in the music. Visually, that's just Mick's style and the Louise and Michele were in the zone so to speak. Beautiful ! Close your eyes and listen again.

  • irish music very good

  • Beautiful song but I want to know how they can sit so still. This makes me want to get up and dance!!

  • they are jut so concentrated, just look at them, I love this music, it also makes me feel like dancing. Regards

  • great sound

  • Lovely!

  • Awesome!

  • What kind of Flute is that? I like the sound!

  • Simple system flute (keyless) that were in existence prior to the now-popular Boehm flute. Although the keyless version is a new development. This flute in the 1800s would have 8keys to make it fully chromatic down to C. Not sure the maker, but it is wood! Patrick Olwell maybe?
