have a 3 tile pattern to do sal ,different sizes to what you done here but have no pattern ...600x300, 450x450 ,300x300..any idea where i could find an image of some sort for that? appreciate any info ..
you are without a doubt the best tiler i have ever seen (bar me), i know how much work goes into this modular tiling, and trying to make a pattern then when putting the tiles down you realise you have put the wrong tile in the wrong place and having to take it out and start again....... lovely work as usual bud
@jocky102 my dad was a tile layer 30 years and ive done a ton of installs and I will agree with you 100%. This dude is for sure one of the best ive seen.
really nice i wanna do that in my own house, long as i got a helper lol im 3rd generation setter an my family cant get work cause around me everyone works to cheap if you know what i mean companys dont price right
You have talent my friend. I watched a couple of your videos they are nice...nice installs. Keep up the good work and if you are in the Richmond, Va area look me up.
@chairperson just how much water do you use when you mop the floor? I have been installing tile for 27 year, I have not seen it happen yet. Not an issue.
looks good. i do this for a living and must say i really did not like laying travertine. its a set pattern but if you dont have the layout it takes forever to figure out. very big headache
hey, your floor looks amazing. i was getting confused how u started the job, but i noticed the patern goes in an angle.I love it and i will try to do this in my house, cus it give the floor more character. BDW awesome job
wow pinwheel....actually these floors are about the easiest because the floor is so busy you dont have to line anything up...you pop a control and run with it...
Not so everything needs to line up especially on a large floor, otherwise you will see the tile is off when you look down the length of the tile job. Also if you need to go around an island like this floor you need to be dead on.
hence control line...and bringing these together are nothing compared to stone...try running 18x18 travertine rectified around an island....thats a tie in
Been installing tile for more than 25 years, done what you say and more with all kinds of tile and stone, all sizes 18" and larger. No matter what the job it always needs to be done right.

excellent, hope you didn't have to cut around those cabinets
jsunac 3 years ago
Yes, I did have to cut around all the cabinets!!
saldibs 3 years ago
@saldibs If you cut around all of the cabinets when they mop the floor won't water warp the wood...the water that sits beneath the cabinets?
Your joking right?
