I got bullied, if I told the teacher it never worked the teachers "talked" to him and he went right back to it. Just punch them or hit them and they won't repeat. You have to defend yourself.
I'm against bullying (I am a bully victim) but not all teachers are gonna help you with bullying. I know some teachers says that you are a tattle tale. When a teacher tells me that I tell the principle.
All those tv shows and stuff always say the bully is insecure and thats why they pick on people, most of the times its the exact opposite, their ego is too big and they think they can get away with stuff like this
Telling the teacher never works and everyone knows it. You either fight back and stand up for yourself or you have 'friends in high places' that could do some pretty nasty things to those bullies, or else grin and bear it till school finishes, they can't go at it forever. Grim and bleak and probably not what adults tell you, but in reality, ignoring them hardly works, and telling the teacher would just make it harder for you.
Yesterday my friend's little sister committed suicide because of bullying. She was 10 years old. She will never get the chance to live a full life. Bullying kills. And the sooner people realize what they say can hurt this badly, maybe they'll stop. So if you're thinking about calling someone a name, or hurting someone in anyway, think. The stereotype is why my staff at my school didn't believe me, so I started to carry some of my knives on me to school. It not only stopped my bullying, but the bullying of my friends as well. I also joined the wrestling team, and became very good friends with the actual toughest kids at the school.
Too, too true. I hated middle school, not ever have I received such psychological harm than in that cesspool, fortunately that time is long gone and I have a small group of friends & am more conscious about things.

When I was bullied back in middle school, I recall never doing anything about it. Just kind of... accepted it as an "everyday" thing. However, over the past few years, I believe I had a severe personality change. Although people rarely ever mess with me now (probably because of my height, I don't know lol), whenever somebody says or does something relatively offensive to me, I only know how to fight back with smartassness and extreme sarcasm... For me, at least, it's a lot more effective.

It's a case of damned if you do and damned if you don't. If the kid had told a teacher, it's so likely that nothing would've been done. But the kid fights back, he's the one that'd get in trouble, not the bully. It's sucky.

I hate how schools do assemblies and talk about how you can stop bullying as if it's easy. Tell a teacher, the bully gets suspended, they'll probably come back twice as angrier. People are aware of things like suicide, but it still doesn't make that much of an impact. Fights go on in my high school and a crowd gathers and cheers. People say hurtful things and aren't even aware of it. I wish more adults could see bullying from a kids perspective.

This kid had every right to do what he did. This is obviously not the first time that this kid was harassed by these kids. I bet they don't do it anymore. Kids that get bullied should always stand up for themselves.
i say this should be the state law: if someone hits you 3+ times, then i say you have the right to punch them in the face. then, go tell someone that they were bullying you,( you hit them after) and they get in trouble. if grown-ups don't work, then stay away from the guy, if he follows you, then whack him once a day until he realizes what he has done to you.

The only advice I will ever give to anyone being bullied is STAND UP FOR YOURSELF, BECAUSE NO TEACHER OR PARENT CAN SOLVE A PROBLEM FASTER THAN YOU CAN YOURSELF.
Believe it or not, some schools still do not see this as a big issue ..when i went to my counselor about 3 years ago she said she would talk to the girls that were bullying me but they didn't even get in trouble and they didn't stop picking on me until about the next year ..my case wasn't so severe but others are and this needs to STOP.
Bullies do it because they are sad and there are two ways to get happy. Beating someone up or helping someone else. They choose the first one and that only brings happiness for a little bit. So they do it over and over. And for the the helping people out, it last much longer and it brings more good into the world

To all the parents who are against bullying - please be aware of your OWN attitudes and values. Often in lower primary school (when a lot of suicide victims state the bullying started) children don't necessarily want to be mean, but they see their parents rejecting other parents or children who are "different" and they assume this is normal. Teach your children to accept other people, by being accepting yourself.
Schools know nothing about how this works. All while I was in school we never did ANYTHING with bullying. I hate how they only care about it now. I was pretty much picked on most of my school career; most prominent during middle school-- worst years in my opinion.

the one problem with not fighting back and telling a adult is that the bully is just going to find on the street or even in the school yard then bash or be a dick to you. Bully's in real life don't realize they've been bad and make up they will keep on going no matter how many detentions they get (i know in some cases this doesn't happen but in some it does).But fighting back can be ether bad or good, bad side they get more pissed and bash you up good they stay away from you.
Back in elementary school my class went to the swimming pool for a field trip. A bully in my class tried to drown me, he held me under water for a bit until a lifeguard told him to leave me alone. The teachers didn't punish him at all. The next day I slammed his head into a tether ball poll. I got brought to the office and I told the principal "I will not be punished for standing up to myself." I didn't get punished, neither did he, but he never came near me again. The best answer is to stand up

I'm bullied in school. Most people who bully me dont phisicly hurt me like they did, but one girl punches me, pushes me and hurts me. i was bullied from prep to like yr 4 by someone i will refer to as b. i told the teachers but theyalways said and i quote'boys will be boys' they never did anything about it so i always fought back and got i trouble.
I was bullied in High School, and when they suggest they he should have just told a teacher, next to NOTHING happens, the people/people just keep going. You get in more trouble using a mobile in class then bulling someone.
I am one who takes things to heart and I dropped out half way through year 11 because I was bullied by one boy pacifically, and didn't go back to a high school until a year later. I'm attending an 'adult re-entry' high school now, but it's just not the same. I lost that spark
I live in ireland and my school is so bad that like 3 people had to leave. I was being bullied but when I fought one of them I did win the fight but then 3 of his friends came in and ganged on me. I was helped by one of my friends but if you are being bullied fight back because after the fight I was never bullied again.
Does anyone realize how hard it really is to catch a bully?! It's REALLY HARD!!!!! Reasons being: a. no one and i repeat NO ONE wants to speak up out of fear
b. people are self-minded, if it's not happening to them, it doesn't matter to them

My friend was bullied physical and when she finally told a teacher he made her and the bully sign a paper that said that if they were both in that situation again, rolls reversed or the same, they BOTH would get suspended after that the bully got off scott free. It is weird how they thinks hat solved everything and that they could be friends again.
at my school we have 2 make a paper heart and the teacher reads a story about a kid named Pedro (we have a kid in my class named Pedro so my teacher renamed the kid Peter) who gets bullied at home and at school. whenever something bad happens 2 him, we tear off a bit of the heart. at the end of the story, we have 2 put the heart back together and sign an "Action of Apology" contract. it never, ever works.
The world is cruel, and sadly, many kids don't realize it because they have an illusion in front of their eyes, an illusion that is created by parents and other adults. Adults these days are too protective of their children and if the children don't realize how hard life can be, it's gonna hit them hard.
Telling a teacher might work for a while, but in the long run, it doesn't help. And talking to the bully usually doesn't help either, so the best thing to do is tell your parents so they can call the school, and the principle will either call the kids parents if they have been known to bully before, or to put it on the kids record if he hasn't been bullying before.
Look the real story behind this is: for 5 straight years the boy was bullied, 5 YEARS! He told the teachers several times, they did nothing to help him, this is 5 years of pent up rage going out at once. There are interviews for both kids, bear in mind that the bully's interview he lies the entire time practically.

I hate how schools do assemblies and talk about how you can stop bullying as if it's easy. Tell a teacher, the bully gets suspended, they'll probably come back twice as angrier. People are aware of things like suicide, but it still doesn't make that much of an impact. Fights go on in my high school and a crowd gathers and cheers. People say hurtful things and aren't even aware of it. I wish more adults could see bullying from a kids perspective.

at my school we justed dong STOP,WALK.AND TALK it means you tell a bully who is messing with you tell them to nicely say stop and walk mean walk away and talk means to go tell a teacher thumps up your school does this

This kid had every right to do what he did. This is obviously not the first time that this kid was harassed by these kids. I bet they don't do it anymore. Kids that get bullied should always stand up for themselves.

i say this should be the state law: if someone hits you 3+ times, then i say you have the right to punch them in the face. then, go tell someone that they were bullying you,( you hit them after) and they get in trouble. if grown-ups don't work, then stay away from the guy, if he follows you, then whack him once a day until he realizes what he has done to you.

When I was in grade three 8 years ago, I was verbally bullied, which scarred me, but I know that other children these days have it WAYYY worse. I hate always seeing news reports about suicides because of bullying, and cyber-bullying. It makes me depressed...

The only advice I will ever give to anyone being bullied is STAND UP FOR YOURSELF, BECAUSE NO TEACHER OR PARENT CAN SOLVE A PROBLEM FASTER THAN YOU CAN YOURSELF.

Believe it or not, some schools still do not see this as a big issue ..when i went to my counselor about 3 years ago she said she would talk to the girls that were bullying me but they didn't even get in trouble and they didn't stop picking on me until about the next year ..my case wasn't so severe but others are and this needs to STOP.

Bullies do it because they are sad and there are two ways to get happy. Beating someone up or helping someone else. They choose the first one and that only brings happiness for a little bit. So they do it over and over. And for the the helping people out, it last much longer and it brings more good into the world

To all the parents who are against bullying - please be aware of your OWN attitudes and values. Often in lower primary school (when a lot of suicide victims state the bullying started) children don't necessarily want to be mean, but they see their parents rejecting other parents or children who are "different" and they assume this is normal. Teach your children to accept other people, by being accepting yourself.

Schools know nothing about how this works. All while I was in school we never did ANYTHING with bullying. I hate how they only care about it now. I was pretty much picked on most of my school career; most prominent during middle school-- worst years in my opinion.
To all of you kids out there reading comments, if you are being bullied-- DO TELL. If you do not tell them, you will regret it later in the future. Help yourself and the bully, as well as future victims.

the one problem with not fighting back and telling a adult is that the bully is just going to find on the street or even in the school yard then bash or be a dick to you. Bully's in real life don't realize they've been bad and make up they will keep on going no matter how many detentions they get (i know in some cases this doesn't happen but in some it does).But fighting back can be ether bad or good, bad side they get more pissed and bash you up good they stay away from you.

Back in elementary school my class went to the swimming pool for a field trip. A bully in my class tried to drown me, he held me under water for a bit until a lifeguard told him to leave me alone. The teachers didn't punish him at all. The next day I slammed his head into a tether ball poll. I got brought to the office and I told the principal "I will not be punished for standing up to myself." I didn't get punished, neither did he, but he never came near me again. The best answer is to stand up

I'm bullied in school. Most people who bully me dont phisicly hurt me like they did, but one girl punches me, pushes me and hurts me. She has an amazing life so I dont understand why she does this. 70% of girls in my class bully me for no reaon . I honestly think i'm a good person. I am nice to everyone but what do they give back to me? More BS to go through. I dont know what to do and i'd love someone to give me advice

I was bullied in High School, and when they suggest they he should have just told a teacher, next to NOTHING happens, the people/people just keep going. You get in more trouble using a mobile in class then bulling someone.
I am one who takes things to heart and I dropped out half way through year 11 because I was bullied by one boy pacifically, and didn't go back to a high school until a year later. I'm attending an 'adult re-entry' high school now, but it's just not the same. I lost that spark

I live in ireland and my school is so bad that like 3 people had to leave. I was being bullied but when I fought one of them I did win the fight but then 3 of his friends came in and ganged on me. I was helped by one of my friends but if you are being bullied fight back because after the fight I was never bullied again.

this is my favourite kids react. thanks so much. bulyying is probably the biggest problem for kids and teens. some people can handle it. but others just can't. It's sad that the vid they reviewed took place in my own conutry.

My friend was bullied physical and when she finally told a teacher he made her and the bully sign a paper that said that if they were both in that situation again, rolls reversed or the same, they BOTH would get suspended after that the bully got off scott free. It is weird how they thinks hat solved everything and that they could be friends again.

at my school we have 2 make a paper heart and the teacher reads a story about a kid named Pedro (we have a kid in my class named Pedro so my teacher renamed the kid Peter) who gets bullied at home and at school. whenever something bad happens 2 him, we tear off a bit of the heart. at the end of the story, we have 2 put the heart back together and sign an "Action of Apology" contract. it never, ever works.

The world is cruel, and sadly, many kids don't realize it because they have an illusion in front of their eyes, an illusion that is created by parents and other adults. Adults these days are too protective of their children and if the children don't realize how hard life can be, it's gonna hit them hard.

Telling a teacher might work for a while, but in the long run, it doesn't help. And talking to the bully usually doesn't help either, so the best thing to do is tell your parents so they can call the school, and the principle will either call the kids parents if they have been known to bully before, or to put it on the kids record if he hasn't been bullying before.

Look the real story behind this is: for 5 straight years the boy was bullied, 5 YEARS! He told the teachers several times, they did nothing to help him, this is 5 years of pent up rage going out at once. There are interviews for both kids, bear in mind that the bully's interview he lies the entire time practically.
