I think it's pretty rude to go on talking in french in the middle of a conversation with Tori. Keep it in english. better for her, it's about her right?
@Ciricorone Everything they said in the middle of her sentences was a translation of what she just said, and they even tell her. There's nothing rude about it, because if they had waited longer, they would have forgotten the beginning of what she was saying. That's the way it is.
haha this is an interview taken from a french show TARATATA which has been going for 10years or more! and at this moment in time I don't think they were very accustomed to having english speaking guests........the guy Naggi is having difficulty understanding and translating Tori....which is why him and the other guest are having their private conversation to try and translate. It's quite amusing because nowadays Naggi's english is spottless
It's a pet peeve of my own, really. I've had situations where I'd be involved in a conversation with at least two other people - and in the middle of a conversation in English, they'd veer off into some private sub-conversation between them in Spanish or Vietnamese, which I couldn't follow because neither of those is a second language I know. I was just noticing Tori looking back and forth at both of them during the French- speaking parts, looking confused.
rude that they're having their own conversation in French while their guest (the focal point of the show) just has to sit there. The conversation is obviously about her, but she's excluded from it.
Well since i'm french i can tell you that they're not really at ease with transalting Tori's explicite answers and that's why the guy (named "Nagui") giggles like a stupid f***.
What he says is pretty meaningless though.
But the blond woman is a piano player too and she sure has a lot more respect for Tori.

you could tell that without even speaking the language! I guess tori makes people from all over the place uncomfortable, lol.
I felt like the blond should just translate too.. she looks like she understands her themes.. is he trying to soften the blow? he should just shut up.
