  • Nice find. I wouldn't blame installer though... that's factory wiring. Should have been tied up away from vibrating parts. I've installed a bunch of payne units... some have vibration noise from cap tubes from distributor vibrating against each other or condenser coil... nothing a couple zip ties won't fix... though wires won't make any noise.

  • This is a great example of "let the professionals install them" haha installation. That is why you need to follow right behind installers as they install the unit(if you know what to look for). It is your money, you should have it done correctly! I installed my replacement gas pack 20 years ago and still working with no problems due to my one gaspack installation. Time to replace it again though, due to age.

  • I didn't know you could get a gas/electric Payne hybrid heat system, I thought was only Bryant nad Carrier.

  • That pressure control wiring has been a problem for many model-years for carrier, bryant, and payne systems. I repair them the same way.
