Increased drug addiction will end peace treaties and probably spark gang wars again. In Chicago some neighborhood schools would close because neighborhoods got so violent and they wouldn't reopen that school until some kind of peace treaty was made. There were 28 murders in one weekend in just one small Chicago neighborhood. There were even gang snipers on rooftops shooting rival gangs and even the police.
I'm not denying the UK has some rough parts. But it's nothing compared to the US. The US saw crime drop in the last decade due to gang peace treaties, decreased drug addiction and lots of money to fund police but it is rising again due to increased cartel trafficking, decreased police funding, and rising drug addiction. El Paso passed its 2010 murder total only two months into 2011, Washington DC murders are up 15% this year, NYC rose 14% last year, New Orleans has risen like 20% this year, etc.

You can be in one block in the US, walk across the street, and if a rival gang sees you shots will be fired at your ass and they don't give a fuck. I got respect for undergorund US hiphop and can never diss US hiphop, biggie, big l, pun, nas KRS, rakim, wu tang, tupac and the undergorund raw artists doing their thing, I got big big respect for! however.... wu tang, nas, KRS are not on that raw shit anymore im disapointed with nas's new album and wu tangs newest album, wheres the east coast boom boom bap, not this 'synthsised hiphop', i want raw beats, flow, sick scratching!

USA dont have SHIT to UK.
when we listen to USA hip hop, we all listen to old stuff, Cypress Hill, Public Enemy, Eminem/Slim days, Luda, Nas.
all these folks aint doing any good shit anymore.
UK is the only hip hop source that is constantly updating with fresh new amazing stuff.

@TheUKHipHopCrew Are you saying that Grime-garbage is the truth? Wow...When did the UK surpass the US in Hip-Hop? Yeah, and I guess Mexicans make better Flamenco music than the Spanish. The state of mainstream (emphasis on "mainstream") rap music stateside is dire, but obviously you ain't looking hard enough if P.E., Luda and the rest are the best you can come up with. Besides, you can't place a ranking on something as subjective as music. Sounds good for one, garbage for another.
