Good stuff. I've liked this song for longer than some have been taking in breath. To have some fool tell me I don't like music for any reason, let alone that I don't have a space in my repertoire for MJ, is tragic. As a metal, blues, and prog rock musician, I think you need to rethink (or just simply think) your stance on music. I didn't grow up around this time period, but I wish I did. He had great songs. But, I was born a year after HIStory book 1 was released. I listened to his music growing up and I'm still listening to it more than the crap people sing today. His music has great messages and are very dancable (hm....i think I spelled that wrong). Michael was a pure gift from God and entertained for 4-5 decades, entertaining the world. So bad he had to die for people to get his messages. Shame. I <3 u MJ R.I.P.

The Best Entertainer of all time and a great human being too! For anyone saying Michael Jackson was 'trying to be white' you are being deliberately ignorant! He had a skin condition called Vitiligo which is to do with the pigment of the skin. He told us the truth, many chose not to believe him; that he 'bleached his skin' blah blah blah - well, guess what? The toxicology report said he was telling the truth - a shame he had to DIE before anyone would believe him though!!!

@sjackson2596 Actually, as far as the bleaching goes, he did but he didn't. He used the ointment to smooth out the blotches, but the bleaching was one of the possible side effects. He wanted the blotches to be more uniform, but ended up "bleaching" his skin as a result. He didn't do it on purpose. As for the people who say MJ wanted to be white, they do sound kind of ignorant. Besides, even if he did want to be white (which I doubt highly), it's none of their business anyways. RIP MJ.

Vitiligo does not set in one day. When vitiligo had not spread he tried to conceal it with dark makeup...when the face became more white than black he chose to depigment it completely so that it is one shade...the different shades you mention are the progression of that depigmentation...ultimately he became like an albino over the years with the depigmentation. He had a choice between looking like a zebra and an albino...he chose the latter and I think any sensible person would!
