  • Security Forces are just glorified security guards (True statement).

  • @Kill5witch77 its the same thing as Military Police

  • @83estrada You're somewhat correct, but ultimatley they're Security Guards no matter how anyone tries to slice it.

  • @83estrada No, not really...no matter how you slice it or try to spit it...ultimatley Security Guards straight up!

  • @83estrada No, not really...no matter how you slice it or try to spit it...ultimatley Security Guards straight up!

  • @Kill5witch77 well them wouldnt you say that everyother law enforcement agency is security too? because they make sure that towns are secure n shit.

  • @83estrada Not at all...okay, are you Security Forces or even an MP? If you are, how many domestics have you responded to? How many assualts have you responded to? Even if you DID respond to these things, do you even have the slighest idea on what you're doing? Do you even know how to fill out a 1408 (Traffic citation) properly? Don't try and elevate what LE is in the military to what peace keepers (cops) are in the real world. SF primarily sit on their asses and play on their smart phones

  • @Kill5witch77 no im not military but im looking to be and my cousin said that they are pretty much like cops around the base and when they are deployed to places like iraq n afghanistan that they actually get too see action like firefights n shit which is more dangerous than just being a city cop if you ask me.

  • @83estrada Well, you're sadly mistaken then. Air Force Security Forces is a joke! Join and you won't see any action while you're deployed and you won't work Law Enforcement for quite some time. Not until you make rank and even then you'll have no idea what you're doing because you'll be inadequately trained. Trust me, I've been doing this job for 15 years.

  • @Kill5witch77 so what do you do?

  • @83estrada I'm USAF Security Forces and I've been doing it for 15 years.

  • @Kill5witch77 no but i want to know what you do in the SF because i was thinking of joining so i wanna know the kind of stuff you do.

  • @83estrada Ok, let me ask you this...what are your current options? As far as what I did throughout my time...I've worked Security, Law Enforcement and I've worked a few office jobs. I've pretty much worked it all and I've been stationed at 9 different assignments and been deplyed to 5 different locations. There is just so much information to give you...do you want a career or using something like this as a springboard into a different proffesion (FBI? CIA?).

  • @Kill5witch77 well i have always wanted to be military and i also want to do it for college because i come from a not so fortutane family when it comes to money. so i think that would be a great way to get free school and serve my country and right now im open to almost any branch/ position and after the military/college i want to be a police officer.

  • @Kill5witch77 They do law enforcement as well. SF also guard our nations nuclear weapons, perform presidential security, and do work in South America against drug cartels. Calling them glorified security guards is like calling sex a glorified hug.

  • @BushyX Law Enforcement is a flat out joke...guarding nuclear weapons (Yes, guarding), presidential security (again, GUARDING Air Force One). I dont think the president would rely of SF personnel to GUARD him. I think he'd leave that to carefully selected Secret Service indivduals...and as far as work in South America against drug cartels; I highly doubt it. I can't see how anyone can gloat about this career field.

  • good luck to the forces but i wanted to see something amazing, this just aint!

  • True story. This was Chuck Norris' job while in the Air Force. It's not even a joke. Look it up if you don't believe me.

  • @ErikSecret2

    holy crap it's true!

  • K-9!!! Hooah!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Are there a lot of sf casualties?

  • @sebastians3g

not really, the army has more in a month than sf have had the whole time in the mid east

  • SF needs a new recruiting video.

  • LMAO xD WTF!!! 0:42

  • @LJdaentertainer

thats simply training for the dogs to identify an aggressive sound and stance of an individual, knowing when and how to attack them. think of the tone not whats actually being said

  • Total toolbag!!

  • You can tell there was no script involved. Where's his weapon?

  • @Onoliciousyea Well if he's is assigned to the 341 TRS, then he is a trainer, and doesn't carry a weapon on a daily basis.

  • ah lackland.....

  • Prp stands for personal relyability program. Only for nuke bases

  • what does an officer is the security forces do?

  • Sit around and watch the gate.

  • ooooh that sounds fun do i get a gun?

  • @DynamicManic yeah they get m4's

  • walk around like a badass

  • @DynamicManic

i've been in for 9 years now and i wish someone would tell me, i've been dying to know

  • TSM . A soldier does not choose their fight. While I can agree that the current wars are debatable in their validity, you cannot simply rule out that however unfortunate, war can be the proper course of action. With that said, wars needs to be fought fully, truthfully, and as rapidly as possible. However, considering your a Britain it is very hypocritical to claim a nation starting wars considering your nation was the master of imperialism and even in the current wars fought.

  • the reason why you're living is because of the military!

  • Dudes.......... I so wish I was young enough to go back in!!!

  • i want to do this soo bad! do they let PRP train?

  • Does prp suppose to mean puerto rican people

  • what would he had done if the dog went for his throat? :S

  • they are training not to

  • All recruits have to go to lackland?

  • Yes, that's where the Air Force holds its Basic Military Training (BMT). From there, you go to wherever your Technical School is to learn your Specialty (job).

  • Security Forces can be good or bad depending where you get based. PRP is evil as hell. Be ready to stand on the front a plane for 12-16 hours. I'm at Offutt AFB and it's miserable. I hear overseas cops are pretty happy. Now if I got somewhere like Colorado Springs or Elmendorf... I would probably be pretty happy. Post Briefings are stupid as fuck and you gotta know them. Very little room for error. The thing with SF is you are guilty until proven innocent. Dont EVER make a mistake, That's all.

  • I definitely know what you mean by PRP is evil as hell. I was stationed at Whiteman AFB for 3 years and then Araxos AB in Greece for another year before I could get away from it. Araxos was a decent assignment, but Whiteman was pure hell since it has nukes and the B2.

  • We only do installation patrol in my base :)

  • lol i live in omaha too

  • FMLifeProductions - Overseas duty is awesome! I was stationed at Kunsan ('98- '99) & MIsawa ('99-'01). Lots of camaraderie there. Oh, and duty in the Springs was great, too ('93-'98).

  • The only Army troops I have ever known to respect us as equals are the medics that rode with us outside the wire. And a couple.50 cal gunner. The rest will ALWAYS talk shit, its sibling rivalry, but when it all comes down to it, were all over there, and it sucks for all of us.

  • My brother will be deploying to Iraq in February with Detachment 3 732 ESFS for a year. I pray he'll be OK.

  • that's what i'm going to be after highschool.

I allready talked with our local recruiter about this and he's waiting for me to sign the contract

  • kevind15 - It's all what you make of it. I knew guys who hated every day. I loved it (overall)...and we were doing the SAME JOB!!! Your attitude is important. Good luck!

  • yeah that's true.

  • a large majority of the AF isnt battle hardened, but the sf is a different story most of the time. I've deployed 3 times already, and most of the time i'm with an army attachment on convoys, or working with prisoners

  • i know i am responding to something you wrote last year, but where were you deployed? I ship out in January and like to know what i'm in for. Do you know if its competitve to become a CPE counter sniper? thank you for serving.

  • any of these stupid anti-military people should be given a rifle and sent off to war with no proper training. HOOAH!

  • hoorah

  • Oh yes...cannon fodder....

Can you say human wave attack?!

    HOOAH!

  • @SPARTANB927 I think you mean HOORAH

  • I have to admit that the handlers were all right. When I was in Afghanistan I only saw 2 Air Force personnel in the field. A handler and the other was flying CAS for me.

As a whole the air force avoids the fight, but the handlers are tough as they come. (and yes that goes for security forces. They all stayed in kabul or baghram.)

  • I did this for two years. By far the most rewarding job I did in the Air Force.

  • hancock, please keep you comments to yourself.

From a Marine combat vet from a "combat unit" I would like to thank all the SF men and women for doing their part. God bless you all.

  • I love hearing things like this from the other branches. haha I've got a brother in the Army and a brother in the Marines, and I'm in the Air Force. Can you imagine the fights? haha

  • Hey HancockwannabeLT, considering we just lost another Security Forces member to an IED thursday, you can go fuck yourself. And I mean that with all due respect.

  • I read that the Air Force awarded on Wednesday (02 April 2008) a 10-year, $372 million contract to advertising firm GSD&M Idea City, which developed the Air Force's recent "Do Something Amazing" and "Above All" campaigns.....

    Take care. Keep 'em flying.

  • Hey HancockLT i just joined you tube and i see you everywhere on this site talking shit about SF's. Ill tell you now that what you are saying isnt true. Ive been out of the military for about 6 months now. I was 11B infantry in the army. All i can tell you is that I know a few SF's members and while we are doing convoys together i know theyve got my back because one seved my life before so just stop talking bad about them.

  • Im thinking about join the USAF and doing SF can anyone provide more info about this occupation.

  • thats bullshit hand on your cock

  • dont do it period i did it and yea dont

  • Can't wait to be K-9, just put in my package. Just to clear this up CONUS bases are manned by security contractors most of the time. At Lackland I did see some SFs do gate-duty. All overseas bases are manned by SFs, however.

  • no problem dude man just leave` a message and i will hit you back up

  • Amazed at the people with nothing better than talk about other branches. Maybe grow up and dump the brain-washing. For some1 that claims to be USMC proud, why are you all over SF sites? Most likely NOT accepted by the AF. There's no other excuse. It's ignorant to think SF are not involved in combat. Instead of acting like one of the ignorant people all branches are dealing with on deployments, try acting like a REAL American and support your sister services, BUDDY. Defensor Fortis!

  • not all sf's are at gates. It is going out to contracters.

  • do something amazin... get a better asvab score and get a better job

  • I scored an 86 and i chose sfs. my love for this career field cost me my arm, nose.eye and almost cost me my life.i respect all air force jobs but please dont get it twisted, scores are not the only reasons people join security. id rather have a job were i train more than sit. thats me security forces has been very satisfying for me, im just sad i have to leave it

  • i leave on jan 28th for basic training, and my job is security forces. I completed a 2 year internship with a County Police Department and fell in love with the career, if you willing i would love to ask u some questions regarding it...

  • DO in the AF? Well my son is SF, cross trained SERE and now teaches military freefall. They pay him to jump everyday and loves it. BTW he has also made 5 trips to the sandbox as also, as both SF and SERE.

Better food, better quarters, better pay and still does it all. But anyone who serves is top notch to me. He just got a great deal. He also never sat at a gate.

  • Congratulations?

  • anyways I like how all SF recruiting videos focus on K-9 or combat arms....they hide they fact that you will be working gates until you are a senior airman or even later depending on RHIPs.

  • Tell that to my SF brothers and sisters that have died. I'm glad you take their sacrifice so lightly, it shows the kind of person you are.

  • That was meant for Shay494.

  • actually they are contracting out all the gate guarding duties, i know an airman E-2 who is an SF that got shipped out to Iraq and will be working with army patrols

  • not overseas, We will allways man gates overseas. Ask anyone in USAFE, CENTAF, or PACAF.

  • i'll take your word for it

  • As SF overseas I was a gunner on convoys, but we worked for the army

  • how many "narcotics" do you actually find on this so called "government owned" base?

  • It's called training..

  • You would be surprised.

  • We help local law enforcement agencies fucktard, so do the math fucktard!

  • Way to go, an MWD trainer has all the respect from me, it's hard enough training people to do something, let alone an animal.

  • MWD FTW ;D
