I had to walk through all that the night of the tornado. It was all like a bad dream, but the smell of gasoline and the bright emergency lights told me it was really happening...
somebody in our school was in there and his legs where hit by dibree and cut off the circulation in his legs..he had to go in the hospital and stay for months!
Man, this is crazy. I used to go there and it's just freaky to see all that you remember just scattered everywhere like that. Thank God no one was killed though.
I was there...and the amazing thing is that I and the rest of Union surived without a single death...do you need anymore proof of God? Give God all the glory!
i guy from my high school was trapped for 4 hours.he and i think 6 other guys ran from their dorm to the commons area or whatever and got into a basement bathroom.right before it collapsed.he had surgery a little while ago on his legs to stop the swelling or something like that.
I things went as I wanted them to I would have been right there. My old dorm room is completely gone. It's a miracle that everyone's alive. I'm still in shock over all of this. I'm praying for all of you.
Wow... I live in Henderson, which is about 30 minutes away from Union, and we got that same weather, but we didn't get a tornado. Jackson gets one almost everytime there's a warning issued there. I think it's amazing that none of those 13 trapped people were seriously injured, and it's even more unreal that no one died on the campus.
we had about a 15 minute warning. i was in watters crook 1. thats the guys dorms. i was ducking in the bathroom doorway when the suspended ceiling began to fall and then the windows burst in. the power was out while this happened, which is good because there was a water line that burst in my bathroom, soaking me. i ended up stuck in my room for a while because the wall fell onto the door blocking me in. you can run, but the entire tornado lasts just a couple seconds

I can't imagine what it must be like to go through a tornado. Do you get warnings? Can you run or does it come on too fast?
