@BlondeBeachBum1124 a lot of people recommend Seche Vete(i've bever tried it) but in my opinion, the best one is: Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Clear Nail Hardener(it is supposed to be a nail hardener, but it works wonders as a top coat, you polish can last more than a week without chips, and also it is cheap($2 (i think)) and it dryes really fast :D

Dude just so y'all know you can get super duper cheap nail rhinestones and fimo pieces from EBAY- talkin less than $3 usually from China or Korea, if you don't mind waiting 2-ish weeks for free shipping to the states. I just got SIX nail art wheels for 4 bucks lol!

Mine never last for more than a day with the top coat. When i've gotten rhinestones at the salon they always used a drop of nail glue. I had tips back then so I didn't care, does anyone know if the nail glue is damaging to natural nails?

I also got 2000 stones for 1.49 on Ebay. But everything in Sally is overpriced and you didn't have to wait 2 weeks for the free shipping so I guess it averages out. Pretty pink tiara!

HELP!!! I love the way rhinestones look, & I ordered a bunch I've been using them. My problem is that after I apply the top coat, you can't really identify the shine of the rhinestones anymore, they look dull and cheap. I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. I use Revlon's Shiny top coat and either it is just me, maybe I am putting on the topcoat too thick, IDK, but I end up with something gross looking instead of the rhinestone bling bling that I want.

make sure to use a generous amount of clear polish when you first apply them, then go over them with again a generous amount of clear polish, and go over them with clear again ever 2 or 3 days :)

Np! I;m glad they didn't fall off! :P I have the same problem, having to rip them off :P but before you do that, to avoid damaging you nails in the process of getting the rhinestones off, take a cotton ball, soak it in nail polish remover and rub it over the rhinestones for a few seconds to loosen the nail polish a bit, that should make removing the rhinestones somewhat easier :P good luck! :)

u can also put a nail glue on top of the rhinestones before the top coat to make it stay even better and longer.just a little trick i learned doing my nails one day lol

@MrElMoIsAwEsOmE They will stick to a nail polish. a Base coat is a nail polish. Base coat just allows for Nail polish colors to adhear better, prevents yellowing of your nail and overall helps with health of the nail.

You can do this with just normal nail polish color but you want a top coat to help set the Rhinestones in the nail.

You cannot use a base coat as a top coat because a base coat is matte ,not clear and will reduce shine of the rhinestones.
