If I ever actually become a musician, i aspire to be ^ and Nirvana. throwing instruments around, writing songs you actually feel something about fk ye :D
there always is allot of really great music arround. the world does not more suck than in the 90...(and sonic youth make at least as good records as they did back in the 90 )
man, love'n it, total noise terrorists in this......this isnt' what violent, terrorizing music looks like, but sounds like, marylin mason's music isnt' terriorizing compared to this, it just looks terrorizing, if music wants to sound it, this is how its done. you can feel the total violent energy when they're thrashing, and bashing, it's the same violent energy produced in tornados, nature's fury channeled, transferred, released, in sublimated form through humans
i fucking hate my generation i was born in 1994, all we have is crap music that dont even deserve to b mentioned ! form 1960s to 1990s rule 2000 is full of crap
@Lambstryker Yes. it is called 1991: The Year that Punk Broke. It is Sonic Youth, Nirvana, Dinosaur Jr., Babes in Toyland, Ramones, Gumball, and others.
She comes in to my mind, twisting through my nerves, i don't understand a word she says..................sheeeee's on my side, i love her all the time..
I'm only stating that some bands and singers are better to play when it's warmer,I am some kinda of nut bag, cause I'm pretty sure other people think the same.#@$% you gave me the comment down, geez I never said I hated Sonic Youth,I just ,like hearing them more when it's a better time of year.
Great performance live, but I think Sonic Youth's one of those bands for me that I like to play during the spring and summer, cause there music is so colorful and so are those seasons, darn you winter, anyway what a cool [performance live, there one of bands that are ralery never bad on stage.
thurston with the tree branch and just typical 90's sonic youth strangeness... makes me wonder what kim thought of this song since its got to be about her.
@kkwuzhere67 the shows on this movie contain awesome footage, this song, "schizophrenia" and "brother james" are all better on this imo than the studio versions
can anyoneeeee tell me whats that riff in the beginning of I LOVE HER... on the studio version. I believe its just some seconds of a whole song, but i don't find it...is it possible that it is a Stooges song? Help meeeee!
@thedayitriedtodie the 90s is just a concept there is no reason we cant employ the same standards to indie rock now. we miss the music now because nothing is being done to develop to interesting rock music. I am 19 years old and have listened to pavement, the 3ds, the breeders, st johnny, mudhoney, dinosaur jr since i was a little kid believe me decent innovative low fi indie rock music hasn't died. its just waiting to be reborn and recreated.
who else besides these guys would just throw their guitar across the stage in a song? no one, thats why these people are inpirations to us all. living proof that good equipment is meaningless, they can do it all with cheap beaters.
I saw them at bonnaroo last year, they still kick ass and thurston still looks young as hell for some reason even though he has to be 50 by now. They rock, had more influence on nirvana than any other band.
I wish I could have seen these guys years ago. Don't get me wrong, they're still cool but to have seen them as twentysomethings (or even thirtysomethings) full of energy would have been immense.
for everyvody who is actually interested in the guitarwork of this song I advice you to check out Glenn Branca (a mayor influence on thurston and lee)

placebo was for me a band where i could not tell where they got their music from
(don't start bashing me) i love their early stuff cuz it's so different among many many other music,
but this must've been a huge source of inspiration for Brian..
this sounds fucking rad live , this album is sick as fuck if only i could get high i those days to this type of music like society is a hole etc
