the guys a legend....what are u doing...its rock n roll for f,s sake....do you work for health and safety....give that guy a bright yellow jacket and a hard hat for his next solo..........c,mon!!!!!!
Mitch Mitchell was a genius. Watch this and then watch him with Jimi Hendrix. Michael Jeffries robbed him and the rest of the band, that's why he ended up a broken man.
Mitch is by far and definitely the best drummer that the world has ever seen. Because he was so much more than just a drummer, he was a mind boggeling musician, one of a kind, Jimis´s fairest soulbrother. We miss him so much.
What do you mean by "impaired"? I saw him on at the last gig Friday here in Portland. He came on unannounced and just played on one song and then disappeared. I asked around afterwards and was told him was sick. I found out he was staying at the Benson Hotel and went there next morning with fruit and the receptionist told me no one of that name there. Then on Wednesday night I got the awful news that he had passed away in the Benson. I am a Brit fan from way back; saw him with Hendrix in UK.
Nice gesture of you to bring him fruit the next morning. Still sad, sad that one of the truly great musicians and genuinely good guys has wandered off. 61 is no age, but Buddy was 60, and Noel 57...
i was putting it nicely, but he was drunk. I could smell the alcohol on his breath, his speech was slurred, he could barely walk. I was impressed though, he seemed still full of life and vigor, which makes his death even sadder.
was that chris layton on the drums in teh backgreound???

But what did he say? It ends too early.

Mitch had an alcohol problem and there has now been a trust set up in his name to help addicts (drugs and alcohol). RIP Mitch....

I realy admire Mitch for his amazing work. He has meant a lot to me in my musical seeking, understanding the drums as well as the guitar.
RIP Mitch ;(

Thanks for the info. I was wondering what you meant. I am also still wondering exactly what he died of. All they will give out is 'natural causes'.
