.....Funny, I was so disillusioned as a kid. Didn't know Scar was Simba's uncle(even though he said it), didn't know half the words they were using, and didn't know that the hyenas didn't just kill Scar, they ATE him. A lot of stuff from the Lion King draws inspiration from (among other things) Shakespeare's Macbeth. The part where Scar tries to escape the battle and is chased down by Simba is thus a lot like the scene in Macbeth where Macbeth is confronted and killed by Macduff. Now, whenever I watch it, when Scar is at a dead end and Simba jumps through the fire, I imagine Simba saying, "Turn, hellhound, turn!"
