There are Muslim people in Thailand, but the vast majority of them live in the southern provinces, not in Phuket. The pictures you reference are of Bande Ache in Indonesia, not Thailand. @texastothailand That's Incorrect,there is a mosque in phuket, I was in the navy and visited there several times and met many muslim people. I always heard the muslim prayer each morning and evening from my Hotel where i stayed and the people were very nice.

Besides, the 4 southernmost provinces are predominantly muslim majority, yet they represent only about 1/3 of total muslim population. Muslims are scattered everywhere in Thailand, especially Bangkok and central region! In phuket alone, 30% of the population are Muslim! Get the fact right!
