I was just out in the ML Sat. my wife and I, we got two trout, and a flounder...we have a canoe, and parked around the islands and waded. Can you help me out with some more productive spots around the area...we are new to fishing the lagoon, we normally fish out in the NMZ. thanks,
@wjharrell1 Just south of Haulover Canal on the Indian River side are a set of "deep" canals. They're only deep compared to the flats, but the fish know it. Try out there, right at sunrise.
Great video! I moved from Florida to Tennessee a year ago and one of the few things I miss is fishing Mosquito Lagoon. I used to do a lot of wade fishing out of Canaveral National Seashore.
The only thing worng with this video is the Shimano Stradic Reels!! Time to switch them babaie out for some good reels!!Quantum Cabo's and Boca's are the way to go!!! With some St. Croix rods!!!

What kind of bait were you using. Is that at the north end (New smyrna) or the south end (Playalinda). How do you think artificial crabs would do?

Try launching at parking lot 5. Work the shore lines just south of where you launch. Sounds like your off to a good start. Thanks!
