Of course looking it up on EBAY I guess they do use it for lipstick? Hmm, who knew~ Well concealer sticks do the same basic thing if your on a budget~

Actually that's a concealer stick, it's used like concealer but it's in a lipstick tube for easier application~ but I like concealer lipstick better XD

i have like. the exact same face as yours. round face, pudgy cheeks, very pink/red lips. except i have a smaller nose than yours so that makes me seem more girly ; -;. i will definetly try this. its very hard for me to crossplay. even though most of my favorite characters are guys...;; XC

@misa3758 Yes, you can use dark powder on top of foundation. How dark it should be depends on your natural skin tone. You just want to go a few shades darker than whatever your natural skin color is.

I have a question! I can't find "lip concealer" anywhere! Every time I'm in a store that sells make up, I look for lip concealer or nude colored lipstick or anything like that, and I can't seem to find it. :( I really need it, too because I'm a girl and I'm going to be crossplaying a lot.

Do you know where I can find some?

@MrsMrOh I found mine at a local drug store - CVS. If you can't find it there, you might be able to find stick concealer that is meant for your face (but not necessarily your lips). You can use this type of concealer. Just put some chapstick on first to protect your lips, then the stick concealer (might want to dab it on with your finger). Should work just as well.

@MrsMrOh that was actually just a concealer stick, i own the same thing in my dance make up kit. Look for a stick form of concealer, lip concealer actually doesn't exist lol

Well I can tell you, that M.A.C does a wide variety of lip colors, and it just so happens they have a nude lip color called: MYTH... Now I know it does not look nude on thier site but I know it nude, because I have a M.A.C store at my local mall! It maybe expensive but it's worth it :) trust me!

I actually have the lip concealer; it's actually called N.Y.C Cover Stick. It's just a stick concealer. I use it for dark circles (I did it to my lips to but they were dry and looked flaky lol!) But you can get the stick at Wal-Mart. Yeah.. Croosplaying FTW~

another trick i've learned from crossplaying is to use the dark powder foundation to shadow your adams apple, it makes it more visable and definately more man like!

So, how about people like me who are already dark (Native American) and want to look white xD (Gin from Bleach)?

I would suggest layers. Get a slightly lighter liquid foundation, apply it, apply even lighter powder over that. Though I don't know what you would do about things like hands and arms.

Honestly, it never really bothered me if someone's skin tone overall wasn't the same as the character. The tips in this video are mostly about looking like a different gender.

This video was really helpful, but I still have some issues here:

I am white. I mean almost as white as the background on this page here. The only foundation that works for me is a liquid from mary-kay colored Ivory 100 or something like that, and I've never found a powder foundation that doesn't turn my orange. So I'm bleachy, but so is my character(Sai from Naruto). This also creates a problem.

So I'm not even sure what I'm asking here, but I need help. xD Plz & thank you~

Hot Topic sells a powder foundation that is very very white. I use it for exceptionally pale characters and just brush a little bit on. But I don't like to use a lot of it because it is unnatural looking. That might match your skin tone better than other powders?

I've seen several crossplay makeup tutorials and yours really helped. Since you're so good at this I was wondering if you knew how to accomplish the masculine look in makeup when the character you are crossplaying has large, colored markings on his face. I have yet to find any crossplay makeup tutorials that include facial markings of any kind. Do you have any tips?

Hm. Well, I haven't had to do something like that, but if I was going to attempt it, I would put the facial markings on first and then seal them with something (like hairspray). When that was dray and set, I would try to do the shading on top of that. But you'd have to be careful. If you use bad makeup, it'll just smudge when you try to apply more. Sorry I can't be more helpful than that.

It depends a lot on the brand of makeup you buy and how much of it you buy and where you buy it. I think I spent like $14 the first time I went out and got stuff. But I've added a lot of new things since then

Hm, I'm not sure. I'm not super familiar with Wal Mart. I would assume that it would be with the other makeup. Usually concealer is around eyeliner and eyebrow pencils and powder and other things like that.

I love the tutorial, only one suggestion, you should put moisturizer on your face before applying make-up. It will help the make-up stick and will alleviate any flakes or dry spots that look odd under make-up.
