Yes, I find the place very intriguing! I grew up there from birth till I was 9. My father managed the place in the 70's and early 80's with a measly budget. There was plenty of crime and prostitution but the locals there looked out for one another. My brother and I were forbidden from leaving our suite but we did all the time and thankfully nothing ever happen to us. They used to have a tv room for the guests adjacent to the lobby and even the homeless would go in there. Fun times and good memo
I stayed at this place for 2 weeks and the lobby and the coffee house where nice and the room was ok. But i do remember waking up in the morning and finding the sheets had dried blood on them and I also left there with bug bites on my hand. I do not tell anyone to stay there. Also most of the cheaper rooms all have baths down the hall and full price being about 55 a night plus tax just does not make it worth it considering there are a lot of nice motels for the same price with a bath in the room
My fanciful novelists mind imagines ground plagued by an ancient curse. Or maybe sitting atop a portal to the Underworld? Do bricks and mortar retain memories of crimes committed in airless rooms? Can violence sear a pattern into walls that no layers of paint can ever erase?
its intriguing that two serial killers stayed there.
Great improvement from the mid 80's. Back then it was a dump filled with drugs and hookers along with lots of roaches. Even the famous serial killer Richard Ramerize (the night stalker) stayed on the 14th floor.
** Fun times and good memories!

I like how the video makes the room look nice. They must have gotten help from Hollywood set crafters?
