Im up over 3k going 70, so 5k for 100 isn't that bad. your clutch could be slipping though, you have quite a bit more power than stock you know.

If you wanna know how far off your speedo is, have a friend drive at 60 mph on the freeway and drive alongside then just look at what yours says. then you don't have to replace anything. Just remember how far off your car is and do the math.

It looks like the CEL is on. Have you checked the wheel speed sensor?

When you start your car, where does your tachometer needle sit. It should be sitting around 750 RPM's. In 5th gear, at 70mph your tach should be reading around a little over 3k RPM's. Also if I remember correctly, in first gear at 15mph, your tach should be reading around 1.5k.

my idle is at aound 800prms yes. but my first gear is doing 15mph at 4500rpms and 70mph is around 3500rpms in fifth gear. i need to get it checked thanks for the help

Wow... That's a bit off, lol. I'm hitting 80mph 3.7k - 4k ish. My revs stayed the same after I boosted.

one problem you may have is the stock computer. it was not designed to run a turbo. and it is not designed for boost. my buddy had this problem. not sayin it is the case for your car. but it was for his. look into a new computer for it

Don't make him spend more money than he needs to. Keep it simple first.

Do what I told you to do first dude. Are you running a Missing Link? Or a Fuel Cut Defender? Have you experienced fuel cut yet? Like sk8 said, our computers are not made for boost and were never meant to read boost. Make sure you get a ML or an FCD. Your MAP sensor is reading boost and giving you that CEL.

well my 420a 96 eclipse is just under 4k i think at 100. if ur needle is not moving until u hit higher speed the cable could be sticking, try cleaning it out. also bigger wheels and tires would say u are going slower than u really are. But if thats the case i think u can get it recalibrated at a shop.

i have a 95 420a completely stock and in my 5th gear at 3500 or so i hit 100 so your speed sensor is prolly going bad dude

hmm.... theres no way your tranny must have a much bigger gear ratio or sumthing...

i think bigger wheels meaking longer spin so your speedometer is slower now so if you put smaller wheels the speedometer will be thinking that the car drives faster becose smaller wheels doing more spins than bigger ones

there is something wrong here your speedometer its probobly fucked what wheels you have 17" or 16"

the best way to check your speed is get someone with the car and tell him to drive at the same speed as you

can someone help me with my 1st gear.. if i shift at 3k rpms the speedometer needle doesnt even move... but if i take it to 5k rpms the needle jumps to 20mph is that wat the stock tranny should be doing in 1st gear thanks?

seems a little off mine was at 3500 around 70 75 mph so seems close by the time u redline it youll be more up in speed. 3rd &5th are long gears. if i rember my 4th red at 115 been a while tho. my egt's climbed high in fifth tho so be careful,enjoy.
