Shad does a lot of freestyles and then records the lyrics as parts of songs. Take for instance The One In Front Of The Garage Door and Good Name. Both have the "Shad's pop always played bad cop" verse, one was clearly a freestyle.

Prety sure the first few verses are freestyle and then the second half is taken from his lyrics off of electric city by grand analog f shad. Pretttyyyy sure the song dropped before this, but i cud be wrong.
