This song is actually about a member in the band, it's the story of him and his wife, she screwed up and he took her back. The son of a friend of mine got to help write this song with the band and they told him the story behind it. Pretty amazing huh?

I listened to this while my parents were fighting really bad the other night. And although he wasn't actually there holding me, Dakota stayed on the phone with me for hours just comforting me and talking to me while I cried and hoped for the best.

Sometimes I wish I had my own home so someone could come over when I need them to... And I wish I had someone in my life who would do this for me.... Because... I don't want to speak of all the things I've been through.. And it takes a really amazing person for me to be able to trust... And talk to about everything... And so far... my boyfriend sent me the link to this song and i started crying a little after the first verse. i told him i thought it was beautiful, but i dont think he realized what it would mean to me. It reminds me of a night a long time go when i felt like my world aws ending and he did nothing, and said nothing, he just held me as i cried. I love him so much. And that night was even before he and i were dating. I just wish he could figure out how much he means to me.

Sometimes we parade around because we get full of ourselves thinking of all that we do for Christ and what we give Him, instead of realizing that if we continue to live that way it all means nothing. Our acts should be in response to His love for us, not as something as though He needed anything from us.

@Thatoneguywon exactly!! my sunday school lesson a couple of weeks ago was about how everybody has common grace meaning that he gives us all things things that we dont deserve and dont ever think about having like air, shelter, food, water, friends, family, but only some get saving grace. i just think that, that is so cool that no matter what you do what you have done or if you constantly reject him you still get to experience God's grace!!!

Wow, I am just amazed at the response of my first comment. its so beautiful. At first i thought it was about a relationship but then when i found out it was about god i realized that it was about a relationship. I hear the lyrics of this song and I feel every word simultaneously resonating in my heart. I love this girl and she loves me because of the kinds of things this songs talk about. I absolutely love this song! It speaks to me on like a bazillion levels. First of all it made me cry the first time I heard it...I was driving, lol. But really it's about God loving us no matter what we've done, but its also about how we should be there each other no matter what, and sometimes we need to just lay out our past mistakes in front of another person. I guess when I feel like I've screwed up sooo bad this song reminds me Im still loved no matter what.
