It's ok. Haruhi doesn't sound as bad as I feared she would when I heard Wendee Lee was voicing her. I liked it better when she said 'totally' and not 'absolutely' more. It was a little thing that gave her more flavor and personality.
Kyon doesn't sound cynical or biter enough, though.
Over all, not bad at all. I'm already more or less used to it.
me too I'm a major anime fan of subtitled but the dub isn't bad, it's just these people are nuts, they're not used to hearing it in their own language, to make them happy they should just subtitle anime only. Freaks.
really? i always thought it meant never unless its with a positive, well then it would kind of mean absolutely, wait.. we are talking about japanese right? lol
kun? Nagato is a girl too...although use very generalized suffixes when really they shouldn't be used casually. I use chan for most girls and kun for guys usually. However I usually call her Yuki as I do with other characters I don't feel any particlar way about (by first name if possible).
Crispin Freeman, one of my fellow Tezuka fans, totally matches Tomokazu Sugita's original performance, And Wendee Lee does an awesome performance(due to the fact that she's in her 50's, and plays Tatsuki in BLEACH) It matches Aya Hirano's original performance.
This looks like a good show! Where can i find the episodes in english?

You know.... that is, so far, the only oen time I liked Freeman's take on Kyon... the part which inspired the SOS-brigade.
As for Haruhi's tsundere-like 'shut up!"... I would have the same thing myself, actually. I guess we're all naive.

This was much better, but I miss the phrase
"This feels like extortion" rather than "this feels like i'm being bullied out of my lunch money"

I agree anime802 and I also think Haruhi sounds like a typically dubbed female.

Haruhi's was fine once you get used to it, same with Kyon's--Though I had a harder time getting used to his than her's.

Haruhi-chan's hot, and so is Aya Hirano.
Nagato-kun is hot , she reminded me of Rei Ayanami when I first saw this September-October of last year on this very site.
Mikuru seems funny, She reminded me of Orihime when I saw this mid-2006.
Kyon's cool.
So is Koizumi.
LONG LIVE THE S.O.S. BRIGADE!!!!

Nagato Yuki is based off of Ayanami Rei
Both Nagato and Ayanami are names of Japanese warships, while Yuki means snow and rei means cold.

I like Kyon's, but Haruhi's doesn't seem to hit the right level of emotion in some places.

Crispin Freeman is so great in this role. Very funny, sarcastic voice that fits the role well.
